  • Gomber allows five earned runs in loss to Astros
Austin Gomber allowed eight hits and five earned runs over 5 1/3 innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

Advice: Gomber was tuned up for six hits and five earned runs in the first inning, as the Astros sent all nine hitters to the plate against the Rockies’ lefty. It was a flurry of singles off Gomber that resulted in the five-run frame, with the last resulting in a two-RBI hit by Chas McCormick. Gomber needed 33 pitches to get through the inning but later settled in to pitch 4 1/3 scoreless frames the rest of the way. Still, the early disaster proved to be too much for Gomber, as the Rockies managed just 00 hits on the night against the Astros. Gomber has allowed four earned runs or more in each of his last four starters. Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for starters next Monday, as he’s set to start against the Brewers. • Tanner Scott picks up 10th save vs. Royals
Tanner Scott pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Royals.

Advice: Scott allowed a one-out single to Salvador Perez in the ninth but went on to retire the next two batters he faced. The veteran lefty now has 10 saves on the season and lowered his ERA to 1.59 on the season. Scott has converted on 10 of his 12 save opportunities, but saves have been hard to come by for the 28-win Marlins. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago
  • Mark Vientos has two home runs in win
Mark Vientos went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in a 9-7 win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Vientos’ power is legit and he now has nine home runs on the year and six in 19 games in June. Vientos is also hitting 19-for-69 (.275) in June while taking over the Mets’ starting third base role. With the Mets offense surging and Vientos showing a better approach to go along with his plus power, he should be added in all formats where he may still be available. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago

  • Nick Gordon scores game-winning run vs. Royals
Nick Gordon went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

Advice: Gordon’s RBI single in the seventh inning tied the game at 1-1, giving the Marlins life after being shut down by Seth Lugo for six innings. Gordon’s single paved the way for him to later score on an RBI single by Jazz Chisholm, which was enough for the Marlins to earn a surprise win over the Royals. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago
  • Harrison Bader has two hits, HR in win
Harrison Bader went 2-for-4 with a home run, a steal, and two runs scored in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Bader’s home run was a 419-foot shot for his fifth of the season, and the stolen base was his 11th of the year. Bader has been playing regularly as the Mets’ starting center fielder and should continue to see regular at-bats with Starling Marte now out for at least a month. Bader is hitting .272 on the year and has always had enough power and speed to be fantasy-relevant when healthy. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago
  • Chirinos allows one earned run in win over Royals
Yonny Chirinos allowed three hits and one earned run over five innings in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

Advice: Chirinos kept a potent Royals lineup at bay all evening, with his lone blemish coming in the first inning on a Vinny Pasquantino RBI single. Chirinos allowed six total baserunners on the evening, with three coming via the walk, but managed to pitch himself out of a few jams with runners in scoring position. A lack of run support left him on the hook for the loss before an RBI single by Nick Gordon in the seventh tied the game at 1-1. Through two starts, Chirinos is boasting a 2.70 ERA with 11 strikeouts to just three walks. He’ll look to pick up his first win of the season in his next start, which is set for Sunday against the Phillies. Rotoworld 59 minutes ago
  • Elvis Peguero picks up surprise save vs. Rangers
Elvis Peguero pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Rangers.

Advice: Peguero now has two saves on the season and got the nod in the ninth over Trevor Megill. Megill got the night off after picking up the save on Monday. We wouldn’t expect this to become the norm for Peguero. Rotoworld Today, 7:43 pm
  • Ortiz homers to lift Brewers over Rangers
Joey Ortiz went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.

Advice: Ortiz hit his seventh homer of the season into the left field stands to give the Brewers a 2-1 lead in the fifth. Ortiz has now hit safely in three of his last five games and is slashing .257/.373/.371 in June with four extra-base hits and eight RBI. Rotoworld Today, 7:41 pm

  • Bryce Harper crushes 20th homer in loss to Tigers
Bryce Harper went 2-for-4 with his 20th home run of the season on Tuesday in the Phillies’ loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Harper broke up a potential shutout with a ninth-inning blast against Tigers stopper Jason Foley with the Phillies trailing by four runs at the time. It may have been a garbage-time round-tripper, but fantasy managers certainly won’t complain. The 31-year-old fantasy superstar has gone deep five times over his last six contests and is up to 20 big flies on the year already. If he stays healthy, Harper has a realistic shot at surpassing his previous career-high mark (42) in the home run department, which he set all the way back in 2015. Rotoworld Today, 5:51 pm
