  • Alex Bregman homers from fifth spot in lineup
    Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 and hit a homer that accounted for both Astros runs Tuesday in the loss to the Mariners.

    Advice: Bregman had the nice game after switching places with Jeremy Peña and being dropped to the fifth spot in the lineup. Perhaps it means he’ll resume batting cleanup Wednesday, but the Astros truly have bigger concerns at the moment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:00 pm
     
  • Pavin Smith doubles, drives in one in loss
    Pavin Smith went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Rangers.

  • Will Benson homers in loss to Cardinals
    Will Benson went 1-for-1 with a walk and a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

    Advice: In one game, we saw the pluses and minuses of the Will Benson experience. He hit a solo home run off Kyle Gibson but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning with a left-handed reliever on the mound. The 25-year-old flashed some intriguing power and speed upside last year, but he now has a .199/.300/.416 triple slash and the Reds are happy to remove him in the middle of a game when a lefty comes in.   • Back from injured list
    The Rangers activated Langford (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

    Advice: The 22-year-old has been on the shelf more than three weeks due to a hamstring injury but will rejoin the Rangers after a three-game rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock. Langford was struggling offensively before going on the injured list, as he was in the midst of a 3-for-28 slump. Evan Carter (back) was moved to the 10-day IL in a corresponding move.     Rangers activated OF Wyatt Langford from the 10-day injured list.

    Advice: Langford will make his highly-anticipated return for Tuesday’s showdown against Arizona on the heels of a three-week absence recovering from a right hamstring strain. The 22-year-old top prospect hasn’t exactly set the fantasy landscape ablaze following a sizzling-hot spring training performance, batting .224/.295/.293 with one homer, 11 RBI and one steal in 129 plate appearances over 31 contests.     Advice: Bregman has slumped for significant periods of the season and Sunday's performance was his first multi-hit game in his last eight starts. He's been unlucky to the tune of a .217 BABIP across 216 plate appearances on the campaign, though Bregman's struggles to make consistent quality contact make him susceptible to these results.     Wyatt Langford (hamstring) is expected to return from the injured list on Tuesday.

    Advice: Langford played in his third game on his minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday and isn’t expected to need any more at-bats before he’s ready to return to the Rangers’ lineup. Before landing on the shelf on May 6, the 22-year-old phenom was hitting .224/.295/.293 with one homer, 11 RBI and one stolen base over his first 31 games at the big league level.     Langford (hamstring) will bat leadoff and start in left field for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday in what could be his final rehab appearance before he returns from the 10-day injured list, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

    Advice: The Rangers could use a spark in the lineup, and with Langford playing the field in back-to-back games, it would seem his hamstring is responding well.
