• Yandy Diaz homers as Rays defeat Twins in 10
Yandy Diaz hit a two-run homer and doubled in an extra-inning loss to the Rays on Thursday.

Advice: Diaz absolutely clobbered a two-run homer that went an estimated 439 feet to extend the Rays’ lead to 6-2 in the ninth. It turns out the Rays would need those runs, as Minnesota scored four to tie it in the bottom half of the frame. Diaz is starting to heat up again, and he’s been much better than the .264/.327/.368 slash suggests after his slow start. Rotoworld Today, 1:30 pm

  • Carlos Santana homers, gets three hits in loss
Carlos Santana went 3-for-5 with a homer in a loss to the Rays on Thursday in extra-innings.

Advice: Santana’s homer made it 6-3 in the ninth, and Minnesota scored three more runs to take the game into extras before falling. The 38-year-old has gone deep 12 times, and while he hasn’t helped much in the average category (.247), he’s been a solid power-producer; particularly since scuffling over the first three weeks. • Going on paternity leave
The Mets will place Torrens on the paternity list prior to Friday's game against the Cubs, Andy Martino of SNY.tv reports.

Advice: Torrens should miss the full three-game set in Chicago before rejoining the roster next Tuesday for the beginning of a homestand. Joe Hudson will take Torrens' roster spot. Rotowire.com Today, 1:26 pm
  • Will Brennan homers twice in win over Mariners
Will Brennan homered twice while going 3-for-4 in a 6-3 win for the Guardians over the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Brennan now has eight homers on the season. The first tied the game at 2-2 in the second inning off Luis Castillo, and he extended Cleveland’s lead to 6-3 with his blast off Trent Thornton. The 26-year-old’s platoon role makes it hard to justify him as a fantasy option, but he’s a sneaky-good daily play when he is on the field against righties. Rotoworld Today, 12:40 pm

  • Back in lineup, hitting third
Judge (hand) will start in center field and bat third in Thursday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Judge was removed from Tuesday's 4-2 win over Baltimore after being hit by a pitch on the left hand and sat out Wednesday's 7-6 loss, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in the series finale Thursday. He and his teammates will face left-hander Cole Irvin. Rotowire.com Today, 11:13 am

  • Aaron Judge (hand) not in Yankees lineup Wednesday
Aaron Judge (hand) is not in the Yankees’ starting lineup for Wednesday’s showdown against the Orioles.

Advice: The 32-year-old superstar took a pitch off of his left hand during Tuesday’s game, but fortunately X-rays and a CT scan came back negative for any structural damage. Judge reported feeling sore on Wednesday but was able to take some swings in the batting cage. He won’t require a trip to the injured list and should return to the Bombers’ lineup any day now. • Not in Wednesday's lineup
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Judge (hand) won't be in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Orioles, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.

Advice: X-rays and a CT scan on Judge's left hand came back negative after he exited Tuesday's 4-2 win over Baltimore when he was hit by pitch. According to Meredith Marakovits of YES Network, Boone said that Judge took some swings in the batting cage Wednesday and is expected to avoid a trip to the injured list, but the slugger is still sore and will miss at least one start. Judge likely won't be available off the bench Wednesday, but the hope is he'll be able to return to action for Thursday's series finale. Trent Grisham will replace Judge in center field Wednesday. • Getting day off
Miranda is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Miranda will head to the bench Wednesday, but he should have a relatively firm grasp on a near-everyday role for the Twins after Minnesota recently optioned Alex Kirilloff (back) to the minors before reversing the transaction and placing him on the 10-day injured list. The 26-year-old has earned his way into steadier playing time by maintaining an .875 OPS through his first 15 games of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:43 pm

  • Smacks homer Tuesday
Donovan went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-inning loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Donovan has gone 15-for-51 (.294) over his last 13 games, adding two homers and seven RBI in that span. The 27-year-old got a rare start at third base Tuesday with Nolan Arenado taking a day off, though Donovan has found consistent playing time between left field and second base for much of the year. He's at a .247/.319/.380 slash line with six homers, 32 RBI, 32 runs scored and one stolen base over 67 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:56 am
