Lorenzen has gone at least six innings in eight of his nine starts this season and now owns a 2.96 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:26 K:BB through 54.2 innings. Mason Miller, the A's regular closer, was likely unavailable Saturday after pitching two innings Thursday. However, Jimenez could find himself slotted back into a high-leverage role due to Lucas Erceg (forearm) being placed on the IL. Any question that Crochet has the stuff to succeed as a starter was pretty silly, but it should have been answered now. The questions of whether he can handle the modern rigors remain in doubt, but right now, Crochet is an excellent fantasy option even if the wins won’t come.       Advice: Lorenzen exited his last start with a trainer, but the injury didn’t appear to affect him whatsoever. The right-hander scattered five hits and issued just two walks in an impressive outing even when considering the lackluster opponent. The 24-year-old left-hander continues to provide a bright spot on a rebuilding White Sox team -- Crochet's ERA is down to 3.49 on the year with a 0.93 WHIP and 93 strikeouts, good for second most in the league.
