      Arrighetti (4-7) took the loss Tuesday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks across four innings against Toronto. He struck out five.

      Advice: Five of the six hits Arrighetti allowed went for extra bases, including a three-run home run to George Springer and a solo homer to Spencer Horwitz, both of which came in the third inning. Tuesday's outing came on the back of the rookie's best start of 2024 when he blanked the Rockies across seven innings. Arrighetti has surrendered six or more runs three times this season and has walked multiple batters in all but one of his appearances, owning a 6.13 ERA overall.       Berrios (8-6) picked up the win Tuesday against Houston, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks with one strikeout across five innings.

      Advice: Berrios kept the Astros off the scoreboard until the fifth inning, where he unwound and allowed three singles, a hit-by-pitch and a three-run home run. Still, Berrios was able to snare a second straight win as the Blue Jays had compiled seven runs prior to the fifth. The 30-year-old has been shaky as of late, owning a 5.97 ERA with 17 strikeouts and eight home runs allowed over his last five starts. He's scheduled to face the Mariners on Sunday.     • Zach Littell defeats Royals to earn third victory
      Zach Littell picked up his third victory of the season on Tuesday evening, scattering four hits over five shutout innings against the Royals.

      Advice: Littell punched out four batters on the night and didn’t walk a batter. He needed just 68 pitches (49 strikes) to get through five frames — and he would’ve likely worked deeper into the game had it not been for a lengthy rain delay after the fifth inning. The 28-year-old righty got eight whiffs on the night, registering a strong CSW of 34 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he brings a 3.94 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and an 86/16 K/BB ratio (91 1/3 innings) into Sunday’s matchup against the Rangers in Arlington.     • Brady Singer pitches well in loss to Rays
      Brady Singer pitched well in a losing effort against the Rays on Tuesday night, allowing one run on three hits over his five frames.

      Advice: Singer also issued three walks on a rainy evening in Kansas City while punching out four opposing hitters. The only run that scored against him came in the second inning as Richie Palacios scampered home on a wild pitch with two outs in the inning. The 27-year-old right-hander got 15 swings and misses on 88 pitches on the night — 10 of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 32 percent. He’ll try to get back in the win column as he carries a 3.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and an 89/29 K/BB ratio (94 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Rockies at Coors Field on Sunday.     • Chad Green narrowly escapes with save vs. Astros
      Chad Green tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Astos to record his third save of the season.

      Advice: Green surrendered a leadoff double before striking out Joey Loperfido and Trey Cabbage before getting Jose Altuve to fly out to end the game. It was just his third save of the season, but the veteran has been tremendous with a 1.37 ERA.       Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

      Advice: Duran now has 13 saves on the season, as he lowered his WHIP in the year to 0.98 thanks to a solid frame against the Tigers, in which he struck out one batter.     • Hoffman picks up surprise save vs. Cubs
      Jeff Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his seventh save in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

      Advice: The Phillies entered the ninth inning with a comfortable 6-1 lead but saw that lead slip to 6-4 after reliever José Ruiz failed to record an out while allowing a three-run homer to Seiya Suzuki.       Jose Berrios allowed five runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: Berrios kept the Astros off the scoreboard for the first four innings, but the fifth inning was a bit of a disaster. The inning started with a hit by pitch and then a walk and then was followed by two singles and a home run to push five runs across the plate and end his day. The veteran has a 3.63 ERA on the year, but his underlying metrics suggest some regression is coming. Still, he should be able to survive a showdown against the Mariners this weekend.     • Wesneski allows five earned in loss to Phillies
      Hayden Wesneski allowed five hits and five earned runs over five innings while striking out seven in Tuesday’s loss to the Phillies.

      Advice: Things couldn’t have gone much worse for Wesneski, who allowed a season-high five runs on Tuesday against the Phillies. Shortstop Trea Turner was responsible for the majority of that damage, as he took Wesneski deep twice while driving in three runs.
