Advice: With Ian Kinsler on the DL, the Rangers are using Elvis Andrus as their leadoff hitter and Murphy in the No. 2 spot. It's not exactly a deserved promotion after Murphy posted a .170/.215/.295 batting line in April, but there's not any other current options. Murphy appears to be finally healthy after missing time last week with a lower back injury.

Advice: Brown suffered an oblique injury Sunday and is out indefinitely. He was considered the top candidate to replace the struggling Ike Davis, but is now looking at missing extended time. Mets GM Sandy Alderson insists that a demotion for Davis is "not imminent."

After settling for two straight no-decisions, Holland will look to get back in the win column in his next start Saturday vs. the Mariners.

Advice: He gave up just one walk and had six strikeouts. His lone mistake came on a two-run home run to Ryan Zimmerman in the fourth inning. Since converting to a starter, Cashner's fastball has averaged 94.8 mph, where he ranks second only to Stephen Strasburg. He's surrendered just four runs over his last 21 innings and remains a must-own in standard mixed fantasy leagues.

Advice: Cashner was handed a no-decision because the Padres didn't lock up the win until the ninth inning. Cashner scattered four singles and one double, fanning three and issuing only one walk. He has been mostly solid since moving into the San Diego starting rotation and is a must-own right now in standard mixed fantasy leagues. The Nationals are next.

Advice: Cabrera launched a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth off Derek Holland before he added a third home run late off Tanner Scheppers. The weather conditions at Arlington obviously played a factor, but it was a monster of a performance. Cabrera is currently on track to have a better season than his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He has 11 home runs and leads the American League in batting average (.387), runs (34), and slugging-percentage (.659).

Advice: It marked the sixth time already this season that Cabrera has had at least three hits in a game. It's hard to believe, but he's off to an even better start than he was at this point of the season during his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He'll head into play on Saturday hitting a cool .376/.447/.606 with eight homers and 42 RBI.

Advice: The home run was just a solo shot, so Cabrera only has 41 RBI to show for himself through May 14. He also doubled in the game, and he's hitting .375 on the year. There's nothing to say about the slugger that hasn't already been said. He's simply the best in the game right now.

Pollock to ground out after running the count full. With Cishek's struggles against left-handers this year, its possible Dunn could see the occasional save opportunity.

Advice: It's the first time since last year's Tommy John surgery that Hudson has faced hitters wearing a different uniform. The D'Backs says the righty's fastball sat in the 91-93 mph range, which is obviously a good sign. "The light at the end of the tunnel is getting a little bit brighter now," Hudson said. Hudson will appear in another extended spring game next week and doesn't appear far off from a rehab assignment. He could be back as soon as late June if all goes well, though the big club doesn't currently have room for him in the rotation.

Advice: Borbon hasn't been playing enough to warrant an update over the past month (he's logged more than two at-bats in a game just twice since the Cubs claimed him off waivers from the Rangers on April 19). If he can secure some playing time over the summer, Borbon will be useful in NL-only formats in the batting average and steals departments. Chicago has displayed no willingness to exercise their atrophying 27-year-old outfielder, however.

Advice: Cabrera has now stolen a base in four consecutive games, bumping him to the National League leader with 15. The shortstop will never post a good batting average, but he's getting on base more and running as effectively as ever. The 26-year-old shortstop batted .246/.324/.324 with a league-leading 44 stolen bases last season and is a decent bet to improve upon all numbers in 2013.

Advice: Cabrera's 13 steals rank second in the National League. A better real-life than fantasy player, Cabrera's value comes in the form of his legs (steals and runs) and eyes (walks). He looks poised to have a career year.

Advice: Tillman recorded four strikeouts. The right-hander put together his sixth straight quality start, but he was undone in this one by a pair of solo homers from Luke Scott and Matt Joyce. Tillman now sports a solid 3.52 ERA and 1.27 WHIP for the season and should remain in fantasy lineups for a matchup this weekend in Toronto.

Advice: Tillman was excellent, yielding only four hits and two walks while striking out seven. But closer Jim Johnson blew his first save of the season in the ninth inning. Tillman now has a 3.40 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 37 strikeouts in 47 2/3 frames this season. He'll get the Yankees next.

Advice: Fister had just one glitch on the night, allowing three hits to begin the second inning before settling down and holding the Astros scoreless for the rest of the night. His control was on point as well, as he struck out seven while not walking a batter. There's the usual caveat that "it's the Astros," but Fister is now 5-1 with a 3.06 ERA through eight starts. He'll toe the slab next against the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Wood was only decent, which was a disappointment considering how well he has pitched this season and how poor the Mets' lineup is. Wood gave up five hits and two walks, watching his ERA rise from 2.03 to 2.24 and his WHIP from 0.92 to 0.93. He'll try for better next time out against the Reds.

Advice: Lopez held a 12.46 ERA on April 12 and has been working since to minimize the toll his early-season woes wrought on his earned run average. He finished his first month in Colorado with a 6.17 ERA, but has been the reliever the Rockies believed they were acquiring over the winter since, posting a 2.08 ERA over 8 2/3 innings. Interestingly, Lopez had a superb 8/0 K/BB rate during his awful April and has notched a sub-mediocre 3/3 K/BB rate in May.

The formerly maligned left-hander from Mexico put up a 2.12 ERA in 2012 and currently sits at 1.62 in 2013. After years spent as an overpaid source of angst for Mets fans, Perez has proved a great bargain in the Northwest.

He may just have forced his way into another turn in Colorado's rotation.

Chatwood has fared decently in his first two starts with the Rockies this season, and has posted a 3.14 ERA and 29/5 K/BB ratio over 28 2/3 innings at Triple-A. He could be worth a look in deeper mixed leagues.
