    • Elias Díaz slugs solo homer in loss to Padres
Elias Díaz went 2-for-4 with a solo homer on Wednesday against the Padres.

Advice: After knocking a base hit in the fourth inning, Díaz hit his second home run of the season with a solo shot in the eighth. He got some help on this one as his deep fly ball bounced off the glove of Jackson Merrill and over the outfield wall. It counts all the same. The 33-year-old backstop is hitting .312/.357/.429 with the two homers and 11 RBI across 84 plate appearances. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago

    • Robert Suarez locks down ninth save vs. Rockies
Robert Suarez struck out one batter in a perfect ninth inning to secure the save against the Rockies.

Advice: Suarez was given a three-run lead to protect in the ninth inning. He worked quickly, striking out one batter and closing it out on seven pitches for his league-leading ninth save of the season. The 33-year-old right-hander holds a 0.77 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and a 10/4 K/BB ratio across 11 2/3 innings. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago
    • Luis Arraez posts three hits in loss to Braves
Luis Arraez went 3-for-5 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Braves.

Advice: Just like that, Arraez is batting .299 (32-for-107) after notching his seventh multi-hit performance in the last two weeks. He sparked Miami’s ninth-inning rally against Braves stopper Raisel Iglesias with a leadoff single to cap off a three-hit effort. He’s in the midst of an extended hot streak at the moment and it wouldn’t be surprising at all if he were back in the batting title race in a few weeks. Rotoworld Today, 7:32 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani raises average to .371 in blowout
Shohei Ohtani went 3-for-6 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday in the Dodgers’ blowout win over the Nationals.

Advice: We’re running out of superlatives to describe Ohtani’s exploits. He doubled three times in the one-sided affair, including a pair of runs-scoring knocks in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, to raise his batting average to an astronomical .371 (39-for-105) in the process. The 29-year-old two-way fantasy superstar has put together an unbelievable Dodgers debut so far with a 1.128 OPS to go along with 22 runs scored, six homers, 16 RBI and five steals through 26 games. • Two-run double in win
Nootbaar went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Nootbaar doubled in his final at-bat of the contest to send home Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt, giving the Cardinals a 4-1 lead. It was only the left fielder's fourth multi-base hit of the season, though he's now driven in two runs in two of his last three games. Nootbaar has also hit safely in six of his last seven contests, but is still yet to put together a multi-hit performance. Rotowire.com Today, 4:28 pm

    • Could return soon
Correa (oblique) said Wednesday he could return during the Twins' upcoming road trip, which begins Friday against the Angels and runs through next Wednesday against the White Sox, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Correa did some glove work and took swings Wednesday as he ramps up his baseball activities, and there's a chance he returns from the injured list without a minor-league rehab assignment. The star shortstop's progress over the next few days should provide a better indication of whether a rehab stint will be necessary. Rotowire.com Today, 3:24 pm

    • Hits bench for second straight
Siri is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Advice: Siri missed time over the weekend after he was in considerable pain due to a kidney stone, but he rejoined the lineup for Monday's 7-1 loss to Detroit, starting in center field while going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts. According to Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun, Siri still hadn't passed the kidney stone as of Monday, so the Rays could be electing to limit him out of an abundance of caution while he's still dealing with some bodily discomfort. Though he's out of the lineup for a second straight day, Siri should still be available off the bench. He entered Tuesday's 4-2 loss as a late-inning defensive replacement and struck out in his lone plate appearance. Rotowire.com Today, 2:28 pm

    • Iván Herrera goes 0-for-3 versus D-backs
Iván Herrera went 0-for-3 before coming out of Wednesday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It appeared the decision was to remove him was just for defense, which would be rather interesting if it’s the case. Pedro Pagés replaced him and got a walk in his lone plate appearance. Herrera is in a 1-for-17 slump that’s dropped his OPS from .856 to .668. We believe in his bat, but the Cardinals might revisit the idea of playing him so often between catcher and DH if this slump lingers. Rotoworld Today, 1:01 pm

    • Bashes long homer
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 win over Washington.

Advice: Ohtani capped the scoring in the contest with a 450-foot solo blast to right-center field. Per MLB.com, the homer was hit at 118.7 mph, making it the hardest-hit ball in the majors so far this season. It also extended Ohtani's hitting streak to eight games, during which he is slashing .414/.514/.655 with two long balls, four RBI, seven runs, three steals and a 6:6 BB:K. Rotowire.com Today, 9:25 am
