      Neris (4-0) pitched a scoreless inning of relief with two strikeouts to earn the win Saturday against the Pirates.

      Advice: Starter Shota Imanaga tossed seven scoreless innings, followed by scoreless innings from Mark Leiter and Neris in the 1-0 victory. Neris managed to leave with his fourth win, which already puts him just two behind his career high of six wins that he recorded each of the last two seasons. The veteran righty also has six saves in seven chances to go along with a strong 2.65 ERA, making him a valuable fantasy asset so far and the top reliever to target in Chicago's bullpen.     • Stuck with loss Saturday
      Cano (2-2) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Mariners.

      Advice: Cano allowed the first two batters to reach base in the eighth inning, giving up one run in the process. Cionel Perez also allowed an inherited runner to score, and the Orioles couldn't overcome the deficit. This is the first time Cano has given up multiple earned runs in an appearance all season, and just the second time he's given up more than one run of any kind. He's now at a 2.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB while adding two saves and 10 holds over 21.1 innings. The late-inning mix in Baltimore remains in flux, and Cano isn't doing himself any favors with three runs allowed over his last 1.1 innings across three appearances.     • Jack Flaherty earns first victory of 2024 season
      Jack Flaherty picked up his first victory of the 2024 season on Saturday night, limiting the Diamondbacks to two runs on five hits over six strong frames.

      Advice: The right-hander piled up nine strikeouts on the evening while issuing a pair of free passes. He exited after six innings with the Tigers trailing 2-0, but luckily for him they rallied to score six times with two outs in the seventh inning to put him in line for the win. Flaherty got 17 swings and misses on 98 pitches in the contest — 10 on his slider — while posting a terrific CSW of 36 percent. Now 1-3 on the season, he’ll tote a 3.79 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and an impressive 72/8 K/BB ratio (54 2/3 innings) into Thursday’s matchup against the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:04 pm

      Héctor Neris tossed a scoreless inning with two strikeouts to fall in line for the win over the Pirates on Saturday.

      Advice: Neris hasn’t had many clean outings this season. This one came at an opportune time. With the game scoreless into the ninth, he took the mound and struck out two in a perfect inning to send it to the bottom of the frame.     • Skubal allows one hit over six to improve to 6-0
      Tarik Skubal allowed one hit in six scoreless frames to help the Tigers to a 13-0 drubbing of the Diamondbacks on Friday.

      Advice: Skubal didn’t issue a walk and struck out six while improving to 6-0 on the season. The southpaw has had no issue carrying over the dominant finish to his 2023 campaign, and this strong outing lowered his ERA to 1.80 with a remarkable 66/8 K/BB.       Skubal (6-0) allowed just one hit and struck out six over six shutout innings to earn the win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: The Tigers' offense was explosive Friday, but Skubal was excellent in his own right in his best outing of the campaign. This was his sixth straight quality start, as well as the fourth time he's avoided walking a batter this season. The southpaw is now at a 1.80 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 66:8 K:BB through 55 innings over nine starts. He's projected to make his next start at Kansas City. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:12 pm

      Kikuchi didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Baltimore, allowing one run on six hits and a walk in 4.1 innings. He struck out nine.

      Advice: Kikuchi needed 88 pitches to record 11 outs, though he limited Baltimore to one run on Jordan Westburg's lead-off homer in the first while recording nine strikeouts for the third time this season. Kikuchi had gone at least six innings in his previous six starts -- he's 2-3 on the year with a 2.60 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 55:10 K:BB across 52 innings.       Yusei Kikuchi fanned nine while allowing one run in 4 1/3 innings Wednesday against the Orioles.

      Advice: The Jays might have preferred more length from Kikuchi today, though going to the pen early didn’t hurt them at all; the middle-relief corps pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings before Jordan Romano blew the game in the ninth.
