Player Notes

  • Beckham rocks RBI double in win over ARI
Gordon Beckham went 1-for-3 with an RBI double in Thursday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The double was Beckham's 11th of the season. He picked up the RBI two-bagger in the sixth inning to boost the Braves to a 3-0 lead. The 29-year-old infielder holds no fantasy intrigue and is hitting just .210/.300/.335 with four homers and 24 RBI over an even 200 at-bats. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:54 pm
  • Goldschmidt singles, scores in low-scoring L
Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a single and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Braves.

Advice: Goldschmidt was one of just two Diamondbacks to record hits on the evening (Jean Segura also notched a single). Goldy would come around to score on a Chris Owings RBI ground out in the seventh for the team's lone run of the contest. The All-Star first baseman is slashing .304/.421/.505 with 20 homers and 78 RBI across 461 at-bats. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:46 pm
  • Cano swats 29th homer in loss to White Sox
Robinson Cano went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Thursday's loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Cano hit a solo dinger off White Sox starter Anthony Ranaudo in the fourth inning for his 29th homer of the year. He's only hit the 30-homer plateau once in his career but seems destined to do it a second time this year. The second baseman also has 80 RBI and 84 runs scored on the year, batting .298/.351/.527. • Eaton scores three times in win over Mariners
Adam Eaton went 2-for-4 with three runs scored in Thursday's win over the Mariners.

Advice: Eaton had a pair of singles and a walk in the game, coming around to score all three times. He's now hit in eight straight to run his season line up to .278/.358/.417. The 27-year-old has 11 homers and 12 steals while hitting atop the White Sox lineup. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:32 pm
  • Nieuwenhuis hits 12th homer against Pirates
Kirk Nieuwenhuis hit a two-run home run, his 12th of the season, in Thursday's loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Nieuwenhuis thwarted Chad Kuhl's shutout bid with the two-run dong in the seventh inning. Keon Broxton's resurgence, coupled with Hernan Perez' emergence and the presence of Ryan Braun in left field, has left Nieuwenhuis as sort of the odd man out in the Brewers' outfield lately, but he's still found plenty of at-bats with Braun's injury issues. The 29-year-old is hitting .214/.327/.405 in 109 games overall. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:24 pm
