Player Notes

  • Yasiel Puig reaches three times in return
Yasiel Puig went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a walk Saturday against the Rockies.

Advice: Puig played the entire game in right field tonight after missing the previous four days with hamstring soreness. Rotoworld.com

  • Brad Miller triples, steals base in win
Brad Miller went 2-for-4 with an RBI triple and a stolen base on Saturday.

Advice: He was picked off second base after the steal, so it wasn't all good. Still, it was a positive development. Now that Chris Taylor is healthy again, Miller could face competition at shortstop in two or three weeks. However, if he gets hot, the job should be his for good. Rotoworld.com

  • Joe Panik goes 3-for-5 against Arizona
Joe Panik went 3-for-5 with an RBI as the Giants topped the Diamondbacks 4-1 on Saturday.

Advice: Panik had a dreadful spring and a poor first week and a half, but he's come alive with eight hits in the first three games of the series against Arizona. That's raised his average from .176 to .286. Rotoworld.com

  • Brandon Crawford hits third homer
Brandon Crawford hit a two-run homer off the Diamondbacks' Rubby De La Rosa on Saturday.

Advice: Crawford is still batting just .163, which is why he's found himself hitting eighth of late. However, he has three homers and seven RBI anyway. Rotoworld.com

  • David Peralta hits second homer
David Peralta hit his second homer Saturday for the Diamondbacks' lone run against the Giants.

Advice: For as long as Ender Inciarte is hitting, Peralta is the Diamondbacks' fourth-best outfielder; he's weak defensively and he doesn't offer Mark Trumbo's power. Still, he's off to a perfectly fine start himself, with a .267 average, two homers and six RBI in 30 at-bats. Maybe none of the Diamondbacks' four outfielders deserve to play everyday, but certainly none of them deserve to lose at-bats to Yasmany Tomas. Rotoworld.com
