  • RETURNS:

    Please let me know by posting in the message boards if you are returning to The Walking Dead next season. In order to keep it competitive, encourage participation and weed out the drifters, the entrance fee will increase. The amount of increase is set below. Please email if you do not wish to return. I found that this year participation was abysmal and voting just plain sucked. If the dues are set higher, payouts are higher and more people will pay attention and remain enthusiastic. Also, for leaguesafe, the setting will be changed to Commissioner distribution. This year it is set to unanimous vote which isn't recommended by leaguesafe for obvious reasons. If one disgruntled person decides the payouts aren't to their liking, they can stall (not prevent---just stall) the payouts. I do not want anyone's payout delayed and I think we have proven this league is legit already. Most other leagues have Commissioners in control of payouts, and this league will follow suit. If we all knew each other personally, unanimous voting would probably be more appropriate. Since such is not the case, changes have been implemented accordingly.

    A league constitution has been drafted and the input of all those who actually contributed throughout the season was taken into account. For those who did not, you have the choice of returning or declining.

    League Dues:

    1st place: 400
    2nd place: 200
    3rd place: 100

    Division Leaders (2 Divisions): 75 each

    League Trophy with Team Name Engraved plus Shipping: 50 dollars

    Losses have been added to offset the QS and prevent managers from overloading on spot starters (which some of us are guilty of). Hits have been added to balance the categories out at 7 and 7.

    Inflation: 3 dollars per player per season

    Add/Drops: 3 Maximum (5 encourages the spot starts--next season you will have to win on your starting staff's merits---yikes for me, dmb and a few others lol....)

    DL Spots: 4

    Waiver Days: 2 days (instead of 3)

    *Play will be limited to your division opponents for the most part; Interleague play will include playing another manager from the opposing division 1x at random. The season will be shortened by 1 week because I noticed a ton of MLB teams shutting down their players or not hastening to start them from the DL even though they were ready due to their position in their respective divisions and whether or not a playoff run was imminent. Shortening regular season play by a week gives everyone's players a chance to play before the teams start protecting their young stars for the following season.

    This is the basis for next year's Auction League. Any input is welcome, but unless there is a 75 percent league vote in opposition to any of the above, all changes will remain the same.   • While I understand this is "The Walking Dead" League...you're not all Dead. Communicate.....respond to your trade offers and if you don't like them, counter or open dialogue with the Other Owner.

    I don't expect you to be on here every day. You have lives, work, etc. But at the very least respond to the polls and your trade offers.

    And FYI, if zombies come to get us, I'm pushing each and every one of you to the floor and booking it! (Thank you Otis)

    At this point I am locking Seth, Lake and Henry's teams and searching for replacement managers. If anyone knows someone who is interested, please let me know ASAP. One of the three teams is terrible and for that team only I am willing to pay the entrance fee for this year alone so someone can pick them up.

    That leaves 9 active and 3 duds. 2 out of the 3 teams that are missing have pretty good players on them, so it shouldn't be a problem picking up a manager.

You knew the draft time when you signed up. Let's be fair and pay like everyone else. The only one I have discussed payment with is AllNightLong and I know him personally, so he is 100 Percent in. We are missing 4 players at this point. Not a good turnout....

  • DRAFT TIME:

    The time has been changed God knows how many times due to people joining, dropping, etc. We had a late entry, and then a drop, and Yahoo blocked the 130PM Auction draft due to being too close to the 1/2 hour time slot. Most people work at 4PM so it would not have given them enough time to draft comfortably before work.

    We are now at full capacity, so hopefully everyone stays for this time slot. If not, I certainly understand. Initially we wanted 12 in this league, but due to low turnout I put it down to 10. Since we have a few hours to 11:45pm, I'll be open to adding 2 more to make 12, otherwise we can stay at 10 and the draft will take place at 11:45pm............barring a zombie apocalypse. (In which case we should all be thoroughly prepared for a battle to the death.)

    Most people have emailed me and stated the later the better and 11:45pm US Eastern Time has been set as the draft time.
