Commish Notes

  • Payouts have been allocated. 1st and 2nd Place winners received adjusted totals because I subtracted the 75.00 entrance fee that was collected offline and not added to the LeagueSafe Total. (Myself and Kevin)

    Everything should be in order and thanks for participating this year. Hope to see you all next season with your keepers in line.

  • Going through leaguesafe now---and for some reason the payouts listed previously are in excess of what was collected. My payment (as well as Kevin's payment) has been made offline so that's accounted for. Payouts totaled 750.00 (600 in leaguesafe and 150 offline).

    That being said, the payouts have been revised to reflect the total accurate amount collected. I dont know why we didn't catch this earlier.

    1- (down from 425) 395 (-30)
    2- (down from 250) 215 (-35)
    3- (down from 150) 110 (-40)
    4- (down from 75) 30 (-45)

    I tried to allocate the funds appropriately according to standings (1st and 2nd taking the least amount of loss with 3rd and 4th taking more of a loss because of standings). If this is agreeable please post so I can disburse the funds. I will not disburse funds until the 4 place winners (myself included) agree to the allocation.

    League will reset after 4 seasons. We will re-draft all teams in order to begin a 5th season.

    Keepers will be as follows:

    After Season 1: 5 keepers
    After Season 2: 7 keepers
    After Season 3: 9 keepers
    After Season 4: RESET

    Thanks to the 8 who voted. 2 were missing---but I can't chase anyone. You all paid to play, so if you choose not to vote, that is your choice. I respect the league's choice to reset, and so it will stand.

    If this stands, then the league will NOT be reset and we will continue with 5 keepers per year with inflation until players inevitably get too expensive to keep and find their way into free agency. Vote accordingly. I will follow the majority rule in this vote even though I prefer a reset.

  • League Reset poll has been posted. This is very important because I am not going to address this issue again during the season. If you want the league reset draft to occur, VOTE. After 3 seasons, 4 seasons or not at all...I don't care which you choose provided you vote.

    A league reset gives managers a chance to refresh their rosters, try new players, or if you drafted poorly, re-strategize. Keeping core players each year allows for rewarding good drafting and building a solid team year after year.

    Pros and Cons to each---so choose wisely.

    Deadline for this poll is April 27th. Results will stand.

    Any disagreements with the reset/ will be ignored after the results of the poll are implemented.

  • 2 N/A Spots have been added. Picking up prospects will not be allowed until Monday 12pm US Eastern Time. This gives everyone a chance to read this and if they want to set up prospects to pick up, they have the time.

    If you add prospects BEFORE Monday of this week at 12PM US Eastern Time, I will drop them from your roster. It's not a mad dash for prospects---the best ones are pretty much taken. So don't get your vaginas swollen please!

    Keepers will be posted once they are all declared. Troy Tomuchwiski, Festering Dingus (replacement) and Mischonne need to declare keepers by today. They've already confirmed they will, so it's just a matter of time.

  • Last Invite sent and hopefully we are locked in at 12. Keepers should be declared by Mid March (date forthcoming).

    Also, a condition for Kev having picked up URock's poorly drafted team is that he gets to choose 2 free agents (possibly 3 depending on how many keepers he designates from that team) from the pool once everyone declares Keepers. He will have to pay the going rate for these players. No discounts. It is the only fair way to get someone to pick up a reclamation project in URock's team and complete our league. The last invite is for someone who wants to pick up Team AllNightLong from last season. It is a decent team so all keepers must be designated from that team.

    Any issues or grievances please air them, but I think it is a fair way to complete the league given that most top performers are being kept anyway.

  • 5 KEEPERS must be set by the draft (at least 5 days before). Remember to keep 5 you must add 3 dollars inflation to their price from last season and your budget will be deducted accordingly. 260 dollars is the initial amount for all teams.

    *The season will be shortened by 1 week because I noticed a ton of MLB teams shutting down their players or not hastening to start them from the DL even though they were ready due to their position in their respective divisions and whether or not a playoff run was imminent. Shortening regular season play by a week gives everyone's players a chance to play before the teams start protecting their young stars for the following season.
