  • Not sharp versus Mets
    Garrett took a no-decision Saturday against the Mets, getting charged with six runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

    Advice: Garrett looked out of sorts from the jump, hitting two batters with pitches while allowing three hits and two runs in the first inning. He did start to settle in a bit after that, but Garrett was pulled with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth and then watched all three inherited runners cross the plate. It's been two straight duds from Garrett since he's come off the injured list. Better days are surely ahead, but it will be difficult for fantasy managers to trust him next week in Arizona.   • Charged with five runs
    Severino didn't factor into the decision Saturday in Miami, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks over 6.2 frames. He struck out three.

    Advice: Severino had limited the Marlins to just two runs through six innings of work. He was sent back out for the seventh, though, in a decision Mets manager Carlos Mendoza probably wishes he could have back. Severino gave up a walk, two hits and two runs in the frame before being pulled and another run was added to his line when an inherited runner scored.   • Four-hit game Saturday
    Chapman went 4-for-4 with a walk and four runs scored in Saturday's 14-4 win over the Rockies.

    Advice: Chapman doubled and singled twice and also stole his fifth base of the season as he filled the stat sheet. The veteran third baseman had three hits and a steal in Friday's contest, as well, so perhaps he's finally starting to turn the corner. Chapman had been demoted to as low as seventh in the Giants' batting order earlier this month, but he's hit cleanup for the last two games. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
  • Joe Musgrove (triceps) will return from IL Sunday
    Padres’ manager Mike Shildt confirmed that Joe Musgrove (triceps) will return from the injured list to start Sunday’s series finale against the Braves.

    Advice: Musgrove has been sidelined since May 5 due to triceps tendinitis. He has made remarkable progress this week though — so much so that the Padres felt he didn’t even need a minor league rehab start. Fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach before throwing him back out there in lineups though. Prior to landing on the injured list, Musgrove had posted a 6.37 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and a 36/13 K/BB ratio across 41 innings in his first eight starts. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago
  • Stays hot with six-RBI day
    Matos went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Saturday's 14-4 victory over the Rockies.

    Advice: Matos drove in a career-high five runs in Friday's series opener and then one-upped himself Saturday. He got the scoring going in this one with a two-out, three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning. The youngster then followed that with an RBI double in his next trip to the dish before capping off his night with a two-RBI single. Matos is just the fourth Giants player ever to notch consecutive five-RBI games, and he has tallied a whopping 17 RBI in seven contests since being recalled. While he had just a .661 OPS with the Giants last season and a .663 OPS this year at Triple-A Sacramento, keep in mind that Matos is a former top prospect who just turn 22 in January.
