    Gavin Sheets swatted a two-run homer in a loss Saturday to the Brewers in extra innings.

  • Ryan Mountcastle homers twice in O’s victory
    Ryan Mountcastle went 2-for-3 with two homers, three runs scored, four RBI, and a walk to power the Orioles to a 9-5 victory over the Rays on Saturday.

    Advice: Mountcastle sent one deep over the center field walk for a two-run blast off Taj Bradley in the first inning. He drew a walk to lead off the third and scored on a base hit by Jordan Westburg before taking Bradley deep once again for another two-run shot in the fourth. The 27-year-old first baseman breaks a 17-game home run drought with the two-homer day. He’s slashing .293/.333/.505 with eight home runs, 31 runs scored, and 24 RBI across 213 plate appearances.   • Anthony Santander goes yard in win Saturday
    Anthony Santander went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored, and a walk against the Rays on Saturday.

    Advice: Santander followed Ryan Mountcastle’s homer in the first inning with his own solo blast to extend the lead. He then drew a walk in the third before scoring on a double by Kyle Stowers.   • Yandy Díaz triples, drives in three in loss
    Yandy Díaz went 1-for-4 with a triple and three RBI against the Orioles on Saturday.

    Advice: Díaz brought two runs in to score with a line drive off the right field wall as he legged out a triple in the second inning. He was credited with a third RBI after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the third. The 32-year-old first baseman is slashing .243/.320/.350 with four homers and 28 RBI across 253 plate appearances.   • Gio Urshela hits two-run blast in loss to Boston
    Gio Urshela with 2-for-4 with a two-run homer against the Red Sox on Saturday.

    Advice: After knocking a base hit to lead off the seventh inning, Urshela cut into the Red Sox lead with a two-run homer off Brad Keller in the ninth. It was hit second homer of the season while slashing .276/.309/.371 across 110 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:39 pm
  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swipes base in loss to Bucs
    Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swiped his second base of the season and scored the Blue Jays’ lone run in Saturday’s loss to the Pirates.

    Advice: The 25-year-old slugger smacked a one-out single off of Mitch Keller in the sixth inning, advanced to second on a line drive off the bat of Bo Bichette and scored the Jays’ only run on a two-out RBI single by Dan Vogelbach. He also drew a walk in the opening inning and swiped second base, but was left stranded there.     Mark Canha (hip) is expected to return to the Tigers’ lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Red Sox.

    Advice: Canha sat out his second straight game on Saturday with the hip issue, but the training staff believe it’s something that he can manage and play through rather than something that’s going to require a trip to the injured list. He told reporters on Saturday, “Just happens when you get to be 35... I’ve never had this injury before, so it’s new. The same thing happens with me every year.
