PC LOAD LETTER—LEAGUE RULES (2024)

I. LEAGUE ENTRY FEE. The entry fee for 2024 is $200.00 per team. LEAGUE ENTRY FEES ARE DUE BY MARCH 14TH. If I do not have your payment by then, YOUR TEAM WILL BE DELETED AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DRAFT. We have found that this is the only way to ensure that everyone pays on time and no one is cheated out of hard-earned prize money at the end of the season.

II. PRIZE STRUCTURE. The projected prize structure for 2024 is slightly changed from last year.

The projected payouts are:
Playoffs 1st place - $1,200
Playoffs 2nd place - $800
Playoffs 3rd place - $200

Regular season 1st place - $200

All prizes will be paid out within 15 days of the last day of the championship matchup.

III. BASIC LEAGUE SETTINGS. The following settings will apply to this league:

Waiver Time - 1 day
Trade Review – All trades will be reviewed by the Commissioner.

IV. KEEPERS.

NOTE: THE DEADLINE TO DECLARE KEEPERS IS MIDNIGHT ON TBD.
(1) Each team may keep UP TO 4 players from its roster last season. No team is required to keep any players.
(2) When a player is kept to start a new season, the team keeping that player will lose a pick in that year's draft that is one round LOWER than the round in which that player was drafted last season. (Example: If Trea Turner was drafted in the 5th round last season, he can be kept in lieu of a 4th-round pick this season.)
(3) No player DRAFTED in the first round last year can be kept this year.
(4) If a team keeps two players drafted in the same round, the second player kept will cost the team the next round. So if both players are 9th round keepers, they will forfeit a 9th round and an 8th round.
(5) If a team keeps a player picked up as a free agent or off waivers, the team forfeits its 10th round pick (then 9th, 8th, if more than one FA/waiver pickup is kept).
(6) Keepers may be traded, but no team may trade keeper "slots" (i.e., a team will never be permitted to keep more than 4 players going into any one season).
(7) If a player was drafted last year, the round to be used for keeper purposes is the round in which the player was drafted, regardless of whether the player was traded, dropped, etc. during the season.
(8) A manager who has traded away the draft pick needed to keep a player may use his next earlier pick to keep the player. Example: To keep a player drafted in the 8th round last year, a manager with no 7th-round pick this year may use his 6th-round pick to keep that player this year.
(9) If a manager has traded the draft pick he would need to keep a player from the prior season, but then acquires another team's draft pick during the same round, the acquired draft pick MAY be used to keep that player.

V. PLAYOFFS. The top six (6) teams in the standings will make the playoffs. “Playoff re-seeding” is deactivated in this league.

VI. DRAFT PICK TRADES. Yahoo! has added the ability to make and track draft-pick trades, so this can be done directly through the trade process. Any trade involving future seasons' draft picks requires prepayment of the next season's entry fee by all teams involved in the trade within 72 HOURS after the trade is accepted.
