First of all, congratulations to the top six teams. There were some possibilities that a team or two could sneak their way into playoffs with a little help...and they got none. Liquid Courage crushed me 7-1. IWillBreakU dominated MOON 8-2 and Hot Chicken, well, he only won 10-0 over The Garbage Man. Good job boys. Now, there's still a small handful of you who haven't paid the piper yet so lets make arrangements and get that taken care of. Thanks.

This is our last week of the regular season boyz! Still not finished though. If Hot Chicken, Liquid Courage or IWillBreakU chokes this week that could open the window for Jabs and the Shamrocks to sneak in. Maybe Gonzos too if he can go 10-0 this week. Good luck!

Happy mid-season gents! We are in week 11 of a 22 week regular season and so far Fielders Choice is running away this thing. But the only thing that matters is what takes place in the playoffs and right now everybody (even you Gonzos)have a shot at making the top 6. So keep plucking guys from the free agent market, using the waiver wire and keep those trade options open. Here's some interesting stats I've noticed and want to touch on.
First off, a 10-0 week is not an easy accomplishment and so far this season Fielders Choice has done that twice. He pulled it off in weeks 5 and 9. Last season there was only one "Sweep Week" and that was pulled off by the Shamrocks in week 11. Good job fellas!!
Now, if you're racking your brain for who to trade with and what to trade for here's a couple of things that caught my eye. Those Blacksox need Saves! So far this year the Blacksox are 0-11 (including this week so far) in the Saves category. Help a brother out and send a closer his way. He'll probably give you some K's...because he's got plenty. The Blacksox are 11-0 in K's this season. It's no secret how he likes to prepare his pitching staff going into the draft as the Blacksox hold about every strikeout record in this league. Last year he had 1524 K's at seasons end this year leads the league with 813 K's going into todays games! Other notables...Fielders Choice is 10-1 in WHIP and 9-1-1 in Runs. The master of making moves, the Shamrocks (I think he holds the record with a billion moves dating back to last season) is 1-10 in RBI's so...there's that. Blox From The Ville need saves as well (though he won't admit it. "I'LL BE FINE!" I can hear him saying) with a 1-8-2 record this season. MOON, well he's just got a slow team going 1-8-2 in the SB category.

Well that's it folks. All 12 teams are signed up and the draft is right around the corner. 6 days to be exact! I can't wait for this draft and I hope this season is as fun as last. A few new teams this year...Chief Titos Redmen, Moon, and tbd. (I imagine he'll be changing his name sometime shortly) Last years Roger Dodger has changed his name to IWillBreakYou. WAY too agressive JR!!! I'm going to change my team name to YouWon'tBreak Shit :)
The fee is $150 per team and the payouts are going to be
$850 for 1st place.
$550 for 2nd place.
$250 for 3rd place.
Money back for winning concelation bracket. Hopefully it'll keep all the teams in the bottom 6 fighting to win their bracket.
Check out the league settings from the leagues home page if you have any questions. If you can't find what you're looking for then shoot me a message or post it on the message board. Whoever your contact is for joining the league will be the person responsible for collecting your money. Ed and Sean...glad you could make it boys! You two can give Joe your cash. Those who paid Christian last year will pay him again this year, including Chief Tito. (as long as he's not planning a trip to Vegas in the next couple of weeks) Try and pay these guys before the draft. At the end of the first week I will collect from Joe, Christian, Roger Jonny and Tim. Try and make the draft and do your homework! I'd hate to see some auto draft team pay 65 bucks for Trout and 65 bucks for Brawn right off the bat. Let the trash talking begin! -
There have been enough people telling me they can't make the Friday draft I had planned on. So the new draft date will be the following Sunday at 1pm. Sorry for the change but too many teams weren't going to be able to be there. There will one more team joining in the next day or so which will give us 12 team. Once all 12 have joined I'll come up with the payouts. Most likely only top 3 get paid but we'll see. All money should be paid prior to draft like last year. Christian (if you're still OK doing it this.) Keep your eyes on the comissioner's notes for any further updates. Just two weeks to go!!

Welcome back gentlemen. At the end of last season there was a thought of starting our league as a keepers league. That will not be the case this year. Too many teams have not comfirmed rejoining and I'd rather not start a keeper unless we're all familiar with each other and commited to a serious league. You can never be sure with Nubees. So this season will jump up a few bucks to $150. I have it set up as one division instead of two (gimme your feedback on that). Payouts haven't been determined yet but I'm thinking 1st, 2nd,3rd get paid and winner of the concelation bracket gets money back. We'll see. Make sure you're free for the draft date!
