    • Another timely homer Sunday
Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Rafaela delivered late with a solo home run off Jared Weaver in the eighth to give the Red Sox a 2-0 lead. He now has three homers and nine RBI over his last six games and has seen his hitting numbers steadily rise since early June after a slow start to the campaign. The 23-year-old is now slashing .244/.272/.417 with 11 homers, 50 RBI, 43 runs, 11 steals and an 11:87 BB:K in 325 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:42 am

    • Winds up with win
Green (2-1) took the win Sunday against Seattle, allowing two hits and a walk with two strikeouts across a scoreless inning.

Advice: Green entered the game in the bottom of the ninth inning with the score 4-4, and although he let runners reach second and third with one out, Green was able to send the game to extra innings, where the Blue Jays would deliver Green his second victory. The 33-year-old has allowed just one run in his last 9.2 innings and has been the Blue Jays' impromptu closer in the wake of injuries to Jordan Romano (elbow) and Yimi Garcia (elbow). Prior to being shelved, Garcia was firmly ahead of Green for save chances, but with Green in the midst of an exceptional season highlighted by what would be a career-best 1.57 ERA, the closing role may no longer be as cut and dry. • Goes yard
Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 6-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Santander got the Orioles on the board in the first inning, tagging Oakland starter Mitch Spence for a solo shot. The long ball was Santander's ninth of the last 21 games, bringing his season total to 23 homers. Only Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani and Gunnar Henderson have hit more round trippers than Santander. • Ceddanne Rafaela goes deep as Red Sox top Yankees
Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-for-3 and belted a solo homer on Sunday night as the Red Sox eked out a victory over the Yankees in New York.

Advice: The versatile 23-year-old delivered a valuable insurance run with a two-out, 412-foot (106.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Luke Weaver in the eighth inning that increased the Red Sox’ lead to 2-0. On the season, he’s now hitting .244/.272/.417 with 11 long balls, 50 RBI and 11 stolen bases through his first 87 ballgames. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:34 pm

    • Beginning rehab assignment Tuesday
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol confirmed Sunday that Edman (wrist) remains on track to begin his minor-league rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield on Tuesday, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Edman's surgically repaired right wrist apparently responded well to batting practice sessions in Springfield on Friday and Saturday, with the latter being a live session against rehabbing right-hander Riley O'Brien (forearm). Unless Edman experiences another setback with his wrist in the next day, he'll see his first game action of the season Tuesday. Edman will presumably remain on his rehab assignment throughout the week before the Cardinals reassess his status coming out of the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:13 pm

    • On track for activation Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson confirmed Sunday that Schwarber (groin) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday's series opener versus the Dodgers, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After running on the field at approximately 90 percent intensity Saturday, Schwarber cleared the final hurdle in his recovery from a left groin strain by sprinting at full speed during a pregame workout Sunday. The Phillies apparently feel comfortable enough with Schwarber's health to let him return from the IL without heading out on a rehab assignment beforehand. Schwarber has made just three of his 78 starts in left field this season, and the Phillies will most likely deploy him strictly as a designated hitter during the upcoming week to lessen the possibility of a setback with the groin heading into the All-Star break. The 31-year-old's upcoming return will presumably result in fewer opportunities for David Dahl. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:05 pm

    • Breakout performance in win
Andujar went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, a two-run double, a walk and a run in a win over the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Andujar didn't join in on the Athletics' long-ball barrage, but he did plenty of damage with his pair of knocks. The hot-hitting veteran's trio of RBI came when Oakland already owned a commanding lead, as his fourth-inning single drove home Brett Harris to make the score 14-1, and he tacked on two more runs to the advantage with his sixth-inning double. The multi-hit effort, Andujar's first since June 26, pushed his average back over the .300 mark (.304), and he's now driven in five runs over his last three contests following a 12-game RBI drought. • Swipes bag No. 20
Young went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 14-6 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: The 24-year-old center fielder doesn't offer much with his bat while hitting at the bottom of the order for the Nationals, but Young continues to be a nuisance when he reaches base. Through 78 big-league games this season he's slashing .261/.321/.327 with one homer, 18 RBI, 45 runs and 20 steals in 25 attempts. Washington's youth movement is in full swing, but Young isn't necessarily guaranteed to keep his spot in the starting lineup as Dylan Crews could be the next prospect the team brings up to The Show. • Secures fifth save
Vesia picked up the save over the Brewers on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Vesia entered the contest with a two-run lead and went 1-2-3 through the back end of Milwaukee's lineup to earn his fifth save of the campaign. It was the lefty's first save opportunity since blowing one against the Giants on June 29, and he's now recorded a strikeout in each of his last three appearances. Vesia also hasn't allowed a hit in either of his last two outings. Primary closer Evan Phillips was deployed to face the heart of the Brewers order in the eighth inning Saturday and remains in line to receive the bulk of the save chances for Los Angeles.
