      Advice: The 36-year-old DH came up big for the Mets, breaking a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the eighth inning by crushing the first pitch he saw from Ryan Thompson to straightaway center field. Martinez is settling into a groove, slashing .279/.323/.508 over his last 15 games with five doubles, three homers and nine RBI, but his 36.9 percent strikeout rate during that time is still worrisome.       Lindor went 4-for-4 with a home run, an additional RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 3-2 win against Arizona.

      Advice: Lindor suffered a swollen finger on a bunt attempt during a game Tuesday, but the issue hasn't caused him to miss any time and certainly didn't seem to impact his swing Thursday. The shortstop collected his second four-hit game of the season, which was highlighted by a 431-foot solo homer in the third inning. Lindor is still batting just .225 on the campaign, but he's hit safely in nine straight contests and has posted a .375 batting average, two homers, four doubles and six RBI over that span.       Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a triple in Thursday's 4-0 win against Seattle.

      Advice: Bregman broke a scoreless tie with his two-run blast in the fourth inning and came around to score Houston's final run following a triple in the sixth. It was the third multi-hit effort for the third baseman across his past five games, and he's batting .350 (7-for-20) with a pair of homers and four RBI over that stretch.       J.D. Martinez hit a go-ahead homer in the eighth inning to help the Mets to a win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

      Advice: Martinez came up huge for the Mets with a solo homer in the eighth to give New York a 3-2 lead and ultimately the victory. The 36-year-old isn’t the same dynamic offensive player he was a few years ago, but he’s still capable of providing success as seen in his .276/.313/.475 slash since joining the team near the end of April.       Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-2 win Thursday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Fantasy managers have to be thrilled seeing this one, as Lindor has been a massive disappointment a third of the way through 2024. The homer is the ninth of the season, and the stolen base gives the 30-year-old seven swipes through 2024. Lindor has gotten off to poor starts before only to finish hot, and there’s reason to believe that can happen again. It doesn’t make the previous two months any less frustrating, however.       Francisco Alvarez (thumb) crushed a three-run homer on Thursday in a minor league rehab contest for Double-A Binghamton.

      Advice: Alvarez kicked off his minor league rehab assignment by catching five innings behind the plate and slugging a monstrous three-run homer in his second plate appearance.       Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Thursday, powering the Astros to a 4-0 victory over the Mariners.

      Advice: Bregman broke up a scoreless stalemate with a fourth-inning shot -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- to left field off Mariners ace Logan Gilbert. He also tripled and scored a run in the sixth inning to cap off a multi-hit performance.       Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Thursday's 6-4 loss to Milwaukee.

      Advice: Bellinger opened the scoring with a two-out solo shot off Colin Rea, giving the Cubs a 1-0 lead in the first inning with his eighth homer of the year and his first in 18 games. While he hadn't been hitting for much power, Bellinger's been seeing the ball well recently -- he has hits in six straight games, going 11-for-27 (.407) in that span, including five consecutive two-hit efforts.
