      Advice: Mike Siani was responsible for plating four of the runs on Kremer's line with an RBI single and a three-run home run. This was a second straight subpar start for Kremer, who has allowed 11 runs (eight earned) over his last 9.2 innings. The right-hander is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB through 50 innings over nine starts this season. The Orioles have a busy schedule through the end of June, so Kremer is unlikely to lose his place in the rotation in the near future, but he'll need to be sharper than he has been lately to maintain his spot in the second half of the season.       Dean Kremer allowed five runs in four innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Monday.



      Advice: Kremer gave up an RBI single to Michael Siani, an RBI double to Masyn Winn and a three-run home run to Michael Siani. He allowed six hits total, walked three and struck out only two. His ERA is now 4.32 on the season and the loss was his fourth of the year. Kremer has 49 strikeouts in 50 innings on the season and a 1.12 WHIP, but you have to wonder if the Orioles might look for an upgrade in their rotation eventually. The 28-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the White Sox on the road on Saturday.

      Martinez (illness) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Monday's game in Cleveland.

      Springer went 1-for-2 with two walks, a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Rays.

      Advice: Dropped to sixth in the batting order over the weekend, Springer responded to the move by getting on base three times, leading to his first multi-run performance since April 14. The veteran outfielder hasn't had a multi-hit game since April 24 though, slashing .156/.214/.203 in 17 contests since then without a homer.       Montgomery allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three in six innings Sunday against the Tigers. He did not factor into the decision.

      Advice: Montgomery surrendered a third-inning home run to Spencer Torkelson, and the Tigers got to him for additional runs in the fifth and sixth. He came back out to begin the seventh and allowed a leadoff walk before exiting the game for good, and that runner eventually came around to score. Montgomery managed to reach six innings for the fourth time in six starts but has not struck out more than four batters in any of those four outings. Though a small sample size, Montgomery's strikeout rate this year is on pace to be the lowest of his career, and he's also walked multiple batters in four straight starts. The 31-year-old owns a 4.98 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 20:11 K:BB in 34.1 innings. He lines up for a home meeting with the Marlins his next time on the mound. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:53 am

      Greene did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings.

      Advice: Greene's one major mistake in Sunday's outing was surrendering a two-run homer to Andy Pages in the fourth. That was the only extra-base hit he allowed in the game. He racked up over six strikeouts for the first time since April 16 and generated 22 whiffs, with a good majority of those coming from his fastball that was averaging 98.8 MPH on the afternoon. He now owns a 2.03 ERA over his last five starts, and for the year owns a 3.22 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 66:24 K:BB in 58.2 innings.       Kim went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a walk, a steal and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Kim's first hit of the night was a base hit in the fourth, during which he stole second and came around to score on a double from Fernando Tatis. Kim then destroyed a 393-foot blast to center field in the seventh to extend the lead to 9-0. Kim now has just two stolen bases since April 23 and has yet to reach double digits this year after being seventh in baseball in 2023 with 38 thefts.       Advice: After going 0-for-12 during the Mets' series against Philadelphia, Nimmo has started the Marlins series 2-for-8 (.250) with a double, a two-run home run and five total runs scored. Nimmo's homer Sunday came off Anthony Bender in the ninth inning and marked the outfielder's seventh of the season. In 193 plate appearances, Nimmo owns a .777 OPS.       Advice: Doval extended his scoreless streak to 4.1 innings. He needed 17 pitches (10 strikes) Sunday, but he was able to emerge with his eighth save in as many chances this season. The closer has a 3.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB over 18 innings and has also posted a 2-0 record this season.
