      Tobias Myers blanked the Angels for 6 1/3 innings in the Brewers’ 6-3 victory Tuesday.

      Advice: Myers moved to 4-2 with his third consecutive gem; he’s allowed just one run over 20 1/3 innings his last three times out. There’s little here to suggest continued dominance for Myers, but the Brewers have gotten quality results out of average arms and they back their pitchers with above average offense and defense.       Lorenzen did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Mets, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out three.

      Advice: The veteran right-hander posted his sixth quality start in his last seven outings with this performance. Over that span dating back to May 13, Lorenzen has pitched to a 1.88 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB in 43 innings.       Michael Lorenzen pitched six innings of three-run ball against the Mets on Tuesday.

      Advice: Lorenzen left with a three-run lead, but the Texas bullpen couldn’t hold on to it. One imagines he had higher expectations after joining the world champions, but the Rangers are now 4-8 when he pitches, even though his ERA stands at 3.00. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:46 pm
       
    • Kirby Yates takes first loss after unearned run
      Kirby Yates took his first loss after giving up an unearned run in the ninth Tuesday against the Mets.

      Advice: José Leclerc’s inability to get the job done in the seventh stressed the Rangers bullpen tonight. David Roberson had to get the final two outs of that inning and then wound up giving up two runs in the eighth on his 30th pitch of the night. Yates came into a tie game in the ninth and gave up the go-ahead run on a walk, a catcher’s interference and a double. The catcher’s interference was provided by J.D. Martinez, who again tested the boundaries of the batter’s box, but at least he didn’t break anyone’s arm this time. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:46 pm

      Glasnow (7-5) picked up the win Sunday against Kansas City, allowing three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts across seven scoreless innings.

      Advice: Glasnow was exceptional Sunday, striking out at least nine batters for a third straight start and completing his first scoreless start since April 21. He didn't allow an extra-base hit in the outing and got into the win column for the first time in seven starts. Glasnow leads MLB with 125 strikeouts across 93 innings, and his ERA dropped from 3.24 to 3.00 after Sunday's start. The 30-year-old is tentatively scheduled to face the Angels his next time out.     • Earns league-leading 24th save
      Helsley allowed two walks during a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save Sunday against the Cubs. He struck out one.

      Advice: Helsley tossed just 11 of 23 pitches for strikes and started behind in the count to four of five batters he faced but still managed to finish off the game for the Cardinals when a drive to the gap by pinch-hitter Patrick Wisdom with two on was snagged by Brendan Donovan to preserve the win. It was another shaky outing for Helsley, who has struggled recently with his command, walking four over his last two appearances. Despite the recent trouble, he maintains an ERA of 2.53 and has converted each of his last 24 save opportunities, last blowing a save March 30 during his first appearance of the season.       Lively (6-3) took the loss Sunday against Toronto, yielding four earned runs on six hits and three walks in four innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Lively pitched for the first time in eight days after leaving his most recent start with tightness after 65 pitches. He surrendered a two-run home run to Ernie Clement in the second inning, his first home run allowed since May 26. The four earned runs are a season worst for the 32-year-old, who had notched wins in each of his previous five starts. Despite Sunday's rough outing, Lively has pitched well for Cleveland this season, logging a 3.02 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and a 52:18 K:BB across 59.2 innings pitched.       Berrios (6-5) picked up the win Sunday against Cleveland, allowing four earned runs on eight hits and zero walks while striking out one batter over six innings.

      Advice: Berrios was one out away from recording his 12th quality start of the season, but Daniel Schneemann launched a two-run shot with two outs in the sixth, the only extra-base hit yielded by Berrios. Over his past 10 starts, the 30-year-old has allowed a home run in nine of them, recording a 4.32 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP across 60.1 innings in that span.       Tyler Glasnow cruised against the Royals on Sunday, striking out nine over seven innings in the Dodgers’ 3-0 shutout.
