      Advice: Gil struggled with his command, but he managed to limit Boston to a lone fourth-inning run. The 26-year-old right-hander allowed three runs in his last outing against the Dodgers, but he's held opponents to one run or fewer in eight of his last nine starts.       Anthony Volpe went 1-for-5 with a pair of stolen bases and a run scored on Friday night as the Yankees triumphed over the Red Sox.

      Advice: Volpe led off the fifth inning with a single, then swiped second and third base before scoring on Alex Verdugo’s RBI double. That would be his lone hit in five at-bats on the evening.       Luis Gil picked up his ninth victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Red Sox to just one run on four hits over his five innings of work.

      Advice: Gil racked up six strikeouts on the evening while allowing four walks. The lone tally against him in the ballgame came on a run-scoring double off the bat of Enmanuel Valdez in the fourth inning. Otherwise, he was locked in and able to make big pitches when he needed to in order to escape trouble. Gil generated 13 whiffs on 104 pitches in the contest — nine of them on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 26 percent.       Advice: After recording the first two outs in the ninth, Helsley issued consecutive walks to Seiya Suzuki and Ian Happ before striking out Nico Hoerner to earn his MLB-leading 23rd save of the year. Helsley hasn't blown a save since March 30, in his first appearance of the season. His ERA on the year is down to 2.61 with a 1.13 WHIP and 35:10 K:BB across 31 innings.       Ryan Helsley notched his 23rd save Friday with a hitless ninth against the Cubs.

      Advice: Helsley walked a pair of batters with two outs, drawing a visit from the pitching coach, but he then struck out Nico Hoerner to end the game.       Yates picked up the save over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one walk over a scoreless ninth inning while striking out three.

      Advice: Yates had a bit of a hard time getting through the ninth after entering the contest with a two-run lead, surrendering a leadoff walk to Teoscar Hernandez on five pitches and advancing him to second base on a balk. However, the veteran reliever made short work of the next three batters, getting all three to go down swinging as he secured his 10th save in as many chances. Yates has been solid in the closer role for Texas thus far and holds a 1.11 ERA on the campaign.       Lorenzen (4-3) picked up the win over the Dodgers on Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over seven innings. He struck out two.

      Advice: Lorenzen kept the Dodgers' offense at bay for most of the contest and allowed only one extra-base hit on the night, a solo shot off the bat of Andy Pages in the seventh inning. The right-hander was able to get through seven frames for just the second time this season while logging his second win in his last three starts. It also marked the first time in Lorenzen's last eight starts that he didn't walk multiple batters. On the downside, he's posted just a 3:3 K:BB over his last two outings.       Crochet allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out 13 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Thursday.

      Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant in the outing, inducing 24 swinging strikes and finishing with a career-high 13 punchouts. The only run against the southpaw came via Tyler Locklear's first career homer in the fifth inning, and Crochet was in line for the victory before Michael Kopech blew a save opportunity in the ninth. Despite a few rough starts in April, Crochet has been a revelation for the White Sox and for fantasy managers this season. Over his past nine starts, he's recorded a 1.36 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 76:11 K:BB over 53 innings. Crochet is tied with Tyler Glasnow for the major-league lead with 116 punchouts on the campaign.
