    • Strong start spoiled
Gil (9-5) took the loss Sunday against the Red Sox, allowing one run on four hits and no walks while striking out nine over 6.2 innings.

Advice: Gil was locked into a scoreless pitcher's duel with Kutter Crawford until he gave up an opposite-field solo home run to Rafael Devers in the seventh. He retired one more batter after Devers and then exited the game and wound up with the loss after the Yankees ended up getting shut out. It was an encouraging showing for Gil nonetheless after he had surrendered 16 runs and posted a 6:9 K:BB in 9.2 innings over his prior three starts. Sunday was also the first time the 26-year-old managed to not walk a batter all year and the first time he reached six innings since June 4. Gil will look to generate one more strong start before the All-Star break and currently lines up to face the Orioles in Baltimore over the weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 6:34 am

    • Luis Gil fans nine Red Sox in tough-luck loss
Luis Gil was outstanding in a tough-luck loss against the Red Sox on Sunday night, racking up nine strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The 26-year-old hurler scattered just four hits on the evening and didn’t walk a batter. He was engaged in a scoreless pitcher’s duel with Kutter Crawford until he served up an opposite-field solo homer to Rafael Devers in the seventh inning. Gil generated 15 swings and misses on 96 pitches in the ballgame — seven on his fastball and six on his slider — while posting a CSW of 31 percent. He’ll look to replicate this fine outing and finish the first half strong as he brings a 3.27 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and a 111/48 K/BB ratio (96 1/3 innings) into a tough matchup against the Orioles in Baltimore on Saturday. • Picks up seventh steal
Burleson went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson has picked up multiple hits in three of his last six games. He's also stolen two bases in his last three games and five over his last 15. The 25-year-old's impressive first half has been a key factor in the Cardinals turnaround as he's settled into the second spot in the lineup. Burleson is hitting .281/.318/.455 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI over 82 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani swipes two bags in loss to Brewers
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-5 and stole a pair of bases as the Dodgers fell to the Brewers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: Ohtani smacked a one-out single off of Dallas Keuchel in the third inning then proceeded to swipe second and third base before getting stranded there. He has now eclipsed the 20-steal plateau for the third time in his career and has already matched his total from the 2023 season. The 30-year-old superstar is slashing .314/.399/.637 with 28 homers, 65 RBI and 20 stolen bases through his first 88 games with the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:08 pm

    • Tallies two hits, swipes base
Keith went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Reds. He also stole a base.

Advice: Keith extended his hitting streak to five games, and he's gone 9-for-21 during the stretch with three home runs and a stolen base. The 22-year-old is starting to settle in at the MLB level offensively, plus he's running a bit more than anticipated, as he never stole more than four bases in a season during his time in the minors. Keith is still known more for his power than his speed, but any contributions in the steals category is a welcome bonus. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:58 pm

    • Brooks Lee keeps hitting with two more hits
Brooks Lee went 2-for-4 with a run scored in a win over the Astros on Sunday.

Advice: Lee has had a hit in each of his first five MLB starts and is batting .474 with three runs and seven RBI. The rookie has tremendous plate discipline and a great feel for contact, so he should remain a batting-average asset for the Twins. He won’t steal many bases and his power numbers in the minors this year were inflated by a 30 percent HR/FB rate, but he should produce enough to be worth rostering in all formats. If the Twins move him up in the lineup, he could see a big boost in value. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:19 pm

    • Homers, swipes bag in win
Kelenic went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer, a walk and two strikeouts in Sunday's win over the Phillies

Advice: Kelenic was one of three Atlanta hitters to go deep off rookie Michael Mercado in the second inning. The 24-year-old continues to be a revelation for Atlanta since they started giving him regular playing time. Kelenic hit his 10th home run of the season, and all have come in his last 49 games. He's hitting .277/.313/.500 with 25 RBI and four stolen bases in that span, and he should continue hitting leadoff with Ronald Acuna (knee) out for the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm

    • Jarred Kelenic with another homer
Jarred Kelenic went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, a walk, and a stolen base on Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: Kelenic has been a revelation since being inserted as the Braves’ lead-off hitter. He’s batting .298 with six homers, 14 RBI, 13 runs scored, and three stolen bases in 21 games as the lead-off man. On the season, his OPS is .772 which would be higher than that of any player on the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:17 pm

    • Colt Keith on base three times Sunday
Colt Keith went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a walk, and a stolen base on Sunday against the Reds.

Advice: Keith drove in a critical insurance run for the Tigers in the seventh inning just before the Reds rallied for a run of their own. The Tigers continue to show confidence in Keith as he’s batted second in 12 of his last 15 starts. He took a step backwards in June after a torrid May and could still have another gear to hit.
