    • Chad Green escapes with save
Chad Green allowed one hit in the ninth inning while earning a save in a 7-6 win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Green started the inning by allowing a double but then struck out Joey Loperfido and Trey Cabbage before getting Jose Altuve to fly out to end the game. It was just his third save of the season, but the veteran has been tremendous with a 1.37 ERA. With Yimi Garcia nearing his return, Green may not see many more save opportunities, but he’s worth rostering in the meantime. Rotoworld Today, 8:05 pm

    • Duran earns 13th save in win over Tigers
Jhoan Duran pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save on Tuesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Duran now has 13 saves on the season, as he lowered his WHIP in the year to 0.98 thanks to a solid frame against the Tigers, in which he struck out one batter. Duran needed just 13 pitches to get through the inning and has converted four of his last five save opportunities. Rotoworld Today, 8:03 pm

    • Hoffman picks up surprise save vs. Cubs
Jeff Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his seventh save in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: The Phillies entered the ninth inning with a comfortable 6-1 lead but saw that lead slip to 6-4 after reliever José Ruiz failed to record an out while allowing a three-run homer to Seiya Suzuki. Hoffman ended up being tasked with putting out the fire and went on to strike out two of the three batters he faced. Rotoworld Today, 8:00 pm
    • Jose Berrios falters late in win over Astros
Jose Berrios allowed five runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Berrios kept the Astros off the scoreboard for the first four innings, but the fifth inning was a bit of a disaster. The inning started with a hit by pitch and then a walk and then was followed by two singles and a home run to push five runs across the plate and end his day. The veteran has a 3.63 ERA on the year, but his underlying metrics suggest some regression is coming. Still, he should be able to survive a showdown against the Mariners this weekend. • Wesneski allows five earned in loss to Phillies
Hayden Wesneski allowed five hits and five earned runs over five innings while striking out seven in Tuesday’s loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Things couldn’t have gone much worse for Wesneski, who allowed a season-high five runs on Tuesday against the Phillies. Shortstop Trea Turner was responsible for the majority of that damage, as he took Wesneski deep twice while driving in three runs. Wesneski has struck out seven batters in back-to-back games and will carry a 4.14 ERA into his next start, which is set for Sunday against the Angels. Rotoworld Today, 7:48 pm

    • Spencer Arrighetti hit hard in loss to Jays
Spencer Arrighetti allowed seven runs (six earned) on six hits in four innings in a loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: He struck out five and walked four on the day while also allowing two home runs. He induced just six whiffs on the day for a 15 percent whiff rate and 22 percent CSW. The rookie now has a 6.13 ERA on the season and with Luis Garcia continuing to progress on his rehab assignment, there may be only a few more starts left for Arrighetti at the big league level in 2024. • Ryan Helsley snags 31st save
Ryan Helsley threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Helsley didn’t allow a hit while striking out one and now leads baseball with his 31st save, which is incredible since we haven’t even hit the All-Star break yet. He’s been one of the best draft day values of the 2024 fantasy baseball season. Rotoworld Today, 6:55 pm
    • Gibson gets a win in an uneven performance
Kyle Gibson allowed four runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The veteran had pitched four shutout innings before allowing four runs and two home runs in the fifth inning, which would wind up being his last. Gibson also struck out eight and walked just one on the day. Gibson’s newfound strikeout ability is due to his reliance on his sweeper, which has become his most-used pitch. That offering got eight whiffs on 14 swings today and Gibson posted a 34 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW overall. The improved swing and miss in his game is for real, but he’s still vulnerable to giving up hard contact; however, he makes a decent streaming option against the Nationals this weekend. • Mitch Keller undone by home runs in loss
Mitch Keller allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits in five innings in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: Keller allowed eight hard-hit baseballs, including two home runs that accounted for five of the runs Keller allowed. He struck out five and walked nobody on the day, posting a 24 percent whiff rate and 33 percent CSW. Even though Keller has been performing better of late, there’s not much in the underlying numbers that suggests he’s become a different pitcher. He relies heavily on his cutter for success, and while that pitch was good tonight, the rest of his offerings didn’t miss a ton of bats. Keller is a risky stream this weekend against a red-hot Mets offense. Rotoworld Today, 6:40 pm
