    • Collects 11th save
Estevez struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 8-6 win over the Giants.

Advice: The Giants made a late push for a comeback, but Estevez shut the door with a 17-pitch ninth inning. He's up to 11 saves this season, five of which have come over his last seven appearances. The closer has added a 3.86 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, 20:3 K:BB and three blown saves through 21 innings. The Angels don't often have leads to protect, but Estevez should continue to close as long as he's with the team, though as a pending free agent, he will be a trade target over the next six weeks. • Carlos Estévez locks down save against Giants
Carlos Estévez go the final three outs to get a save against the Giants on Friday.

Advice: It didn’t look like Estévez was going to be necessary Friday night, but an 8-1 cushion turned into an 8-6 game, so the 31-year-old was called upon to convert his 11th save. The 31-year-old didn’t allow a hit, struck out one hitter and threw 12-of-17 pitches in the strike zone. Estévez should continue to see save chances as long as he’s a member of the Angels, but keep in mind a trade — very possible with Los Angels going nowhere — would likely make him a set-up hurler; severely limiting his fantasy upside. • Johan Duran secures victory against Athletics
Jhoan Duran picked up his second victory of the season on Friday evening, working two scoreless innings against the Athletics.

Advice: Duran came on to work the top half of the ninth inning in a tied game and kept the A’s off the board. He then returned for the 10th inning and retired the side in order, setting the stage for Max Kepler’s heroics. On the season, he now boasts a 3.66 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 17/8 K/BB ratio (19 2/3 innings) to go along with a pair of victories and 10 saves in 10 opportunities. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:44 pm
    • Jose Altuve doubles twice as Astros defeat Tigers
Jose Altuve went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored on Friday evening, helping to lead the Astros past the Tigers.

Advice: Altuve got a rally started with a leadoff double off of Tarik Skubal to begin the sixth inning. He then scored the game’s first run on Alex Bregman’s ensuing RBI triple. Altuve also drew a walk in the ballgame, reaching base safely in three of his four plate appearances. With his two-hit attack, the 34-year-old second baseman is now slashing an outstanding .298/.349/.453 to go along with 10 homers, 26 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season. • Fans seven in win
Sale (9-2) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings Friday, striking out seven and earning a win over the Rays.

Advice: Sale coughed up a run before recording an out in the first inning but settled in for a strong quality start in the win. He forced 17 swinging strikes, including 12 on the slider. It was Sale's second consecutive quality start and sixth in his last seven appearances. The veteran lefty has posted a 2.60 ERA over 45 innings during that span. For the season, he owns a 2.98 ERA with a 99:13 K:BB through 13 outings. Sale's next start is lined up to be on the road against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:51 pm

    • Anthony Rizzo reaches three times in win on Friday
Anthony Rizzo singled twice, walked and drove in a run on Friday night, helping to propel the Yankees to victory over the Red Sox.

Advice: The 34-year-old first baseman smacked a run-scoring single that plated Aaron Judge in the fifth inning, increasing the Bombers’ lead to 5-1. With his two-hit night, Rizzo upped his season slash to .228/.289/.347 to go with eight homers and 28 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm
    • Chris Sale strikes out seven in win
Chris Sale allowed two earned runs across seven innings in a 7-3 win over the Rays on Friday. He struck out seven and walked two.

Advice: Sale was his usual emotional and demonstrative self on the mound even after being handed a huge lead early and that intensity carried him to another great start. This was the fifth time in six starts Sale completed seven innings and the eighth time he’s done so already this season. He’s been one of the most valuable pitchers in baseball this season, stepping into the ace role for Atlanta without Spencer Strider. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:06 pm

    • Exits with illness
Caballero was removed from Friday's game against Atlanta due to an illness, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Richie Palacios replaced Caballero at second base during the third inning. The 27-year-old infielder is slashing .241/.333/.483 across 33 plate appearances since the beginning of June and will continue to rest as he fights off his sickness. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:28 pm

    • Jose Caballero leaves game with illness Friday
Jose Caballero was removed from Friday’s battle against the Braves in the fourth inning due to illness.

Advice: Most observers raised an eyebrow when Caballero was replaced by Richie Palacios in the ballgame, but it turns out he was simply feeling a bit under the weather. He’s considered day-to-day and should return to the Rays’ lineup at some point before the weekend is through. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:24 pm
