    • Trevor Megill works scoreless ninth in tie game
Trevor Megill worked a scoreless ninth in a tie game Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Megill got a visit from the trainer after apparent tweaking his ankle while covering first base, but he was allowed to continue. He wound up preserving the tie in the ninth before the Brewers lost in the 10th. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm

    • Confirmed for Wednesday start
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Scott will be recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to start Wednesday versus the Nationals, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: While Mendoza didn't commit to Scott making additional starts in the majors beyond Wednesday, the opportunity would seem to be there for the rookie right-hander after Tylor Megill was optioned to Triple-A on Sunday. Scott holds a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts with the big club this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:52 pm

    • Christian Scott to start Wednesday versus Nats
Christian Scott will start for the Mets against the Nationals on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s unclear if this will be one and done or if Scott might get to keep the spot for a spell. He certainly deserves a long look; he had a 3.90 ERA and a 25/6 K/BB ratio in 27 2/3 innings over five starts before the Mets sent him down a month ago, and he’s since posted a 2.12 ERA in Triple-A. He’s worth playing in mixed leagues this week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:51 pm

    • Poised for MLB start this week
Scott is expected to be called up from Triple-A Syracuse to start either Wednesday or Thursday in Washington, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Scott had been listed as Syracuse's starter for Monday, but he was scratched from the outing for non-injury reasons. The Mets have already confirmed David Peterson and Sean Manaea as their starters for the first two games in Washington, so Scott could slot into the rotation as early as Wednesday while New York navigates a stretch of 17 games in 17 days leading into the All-Star break. Scott turned in a 3.90 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 27.2 innings in five starts earlier this season for New York. He's posted a 2.76 ERA and 55:12 K:BB in 42.1 frames covering nine starts with Syracuse. • Christian Scott’s AAA start being skipped
The Mets are skipping Christian Scott’s turn in the Triple-A rotation and starting Mike Vasil on Monday night instead.

Advice: There is no reported injury for Scott, so skipping his start would seem to be a strong indication that he will be called up to take over Tylor Megill’s spot in the rotation. That could mean a start on Thursday against the Nationals. Scott should be scooped back up in all leagues in which he was dropped. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:55 pm

    • Records 17th steal Sunday
Rodriguez went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in a loss to the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Rodriguez's hit was only his second in the last 31 plate appearances, a seven-game span where the talented outfielder has generated an anemic .069 average and .198 OPS. The multi-game skid has temporarily erased a lot of the progress Rodriguez had made after a slow start to the season, as his slash line has dropped to a middling .247/.297/.327. However, there are underlying metrics that suggest Rodriguez is running into some tough luck as well -- he owns an expected batting average and slugging percentage of .272 and .434, respectively, and he's also boasting a career-best 21.7 percent line-drive rate. • Rosenthal: Tanner Scott “is a popular name”
The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal said “Tanner Scott is a popular name on the trade market” and “the Marlins are virtually certain to trade” him at the deadline.

Advice: Rosenthal reported that “the Miami Marlins want a lot for their left-handed closer,” but they do expect to get it; however, it’s expected that Scott will not take over a closer’s role if he were traded to a contender. His strikeout-to-walk rate is at a career-low level and that command may keep him in a high-leverage shared role, facing mainly left-handed hitters. Rosenthal mentioned the Yankees, Orioles, and Phillies as contending teams that are expressing interest in adding Scott to their bullpen mix. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:05 am
    • Tallies 11th homer
Arozarena went 2-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday against the Nationals.

Advice: Arozarena went deep in the seventh inning to record his 11th homer of the season and third of June. The performance wrapped up a solid month, as he hit .291 with nine RBI, 10 runs scored and three stolen bases in 25 games. Arozarena is still hitting just .196 for the season, though there should be optimism his performance will improve across the second half of the campaign. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:45 pm

    • Provides offense Sunday
Hoerner went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Hoerner led off the contest with a solo home run, his fourth long ball of the season and second in the last four games. However, he didn't do anything else the rest of the afternoon, while the team as a whole mustered only one additional hit. Still, Hoerner managed to extend his hitting streak to eight games, and he's batting .344 during that stretch. The infielder should remain a viable fantasy option from the top of the order so long as he stays locked in at the plate. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:18 pm
