    • Yordan Alvarez doubles twice in loss
Yordan Alvarez went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and a run scored on Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Alvarez was on base four times in this one as the Mets just could not figure him out. All three of his balls in play were hit at least 108.9 MPH as his OPS has drifted all the way back up to .892, 11th highest in the league. Rotoworld 34 minutes ago

    • Albert Suárez scoreless over six innings in win
Albert Suárez shut the Rangers out over six innings on Friday. He struck out two and walked none in a 2-1 win for the Orioles.

Advice: This was Suárez’s first quality start of the season. In fact, it was the first time he completed six innings. He didn’t have great swing and miss stuff or command of his off-speed pitches, but filled up the zone with his fastball and forced the Rangers into plenty of lazy fly balls. It’s hard to get very excited about him until we see more consistent strikeout totals. He has just 21 punch outs in 25 innings this month. Rotoworld Today, 6:45 pm

    • Steals, reaches three times in win
Marsh went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a stolen base in a 2-0 win over the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Marsh doubled in the second inning and walked and stole second in the fourth. He later walked again in the eighth and has reached base seven times in his past two starts with a home run and a steal. With recent injuries to Bryce Harper (hamstring) and Kyle Schwarber (groin), the lefty was in the cleanup spot Friday night and will likely continue to hit in the middle of the order against right-handed pitching while they remain on the injured-list. The 26-year-old is now hitting .270 with seven home runs, 31 RBI, 25 runs scored and nine steals through 225 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 pm

    • Brandon Marsh reaches three times in win on Friday
Brandon Marsh doubled, drew a pair of walks and stole a base as the Phillies triumphed over the Marlins on Friday evening in Philadelphia.

Advice: Marsh led off the second inning with a double and advanced to third on a fly ball but was left stranded there. He then drew a one-out walk off of Kyle Tyler in the fourth inning and swiped second base to get himself into scoring position, but the Phillies were unable to cash him in. The 26-year-old outfielder is enjoying a solid season — slashing .270/.351/.429 with seven homers, 31 RBI and nine stolen bases. Rotoworld Today, 5:48 pm

    • Swing test pushed back
Jung (wrist) will have his swing test pushed back to Saturday, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung was slated to swing a bat Friday, but he'll have that evaluation pushed back a day. He has been on the injured list since April 2 with a fractured right wrist, and his rehab program with Triple-A Round Rock was shut down due to tendon inflammation. Jung could be activated off the injured list soon if his swing test Saturday goes well, though he'll likely be eased back into the action with planned off days if he does return. • Will swing bat Friday
Jung (wrist) will attempt to swing a bat Friday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung's return has been delayed due to inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist, but he's ready to test things out swinging a bat after resting for a week and receiving a cortisone shot. The third baseman could be activated soon if things go well in the cage Friday, but when Jung does return he might be eased back into action by playing every other day or receiving one off day per series, according to Grant. Jung has been sidelined since early April. Rotowire.com Today, 11:57 am

    • Three hits, three runs in return
Marte went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, three runs and a stolen base Thursday against the Cardinals.

Advice: The 22-year-old made his season debut after sitting out the first 80 games of the season due to a PED suspension, and he immediately provided a boost to Cincinnati's lineup. Marte batted just .151 in 12 games during his minor-league rehab assignment, but he didn't show any of that rust in his first game with the Reds. He should operate as the club's primary third baseman the rest of the way after he posted an .822 OPS over 35 games in his first taste of the majors in 2023. Rotowire.com Today, 11:43 am

    • Triples, swipes bag in win
De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple, a run scored and a stolen base in Thursday's win over St. Louis.

Advice: The star shortstop kicked things off for Cincinnati with an RBI triple in the first inning to score Jonathan India. De la Cruz would then add another two singles in the contest, giving him his fifth three-hit performance this month and third in his last six games. Over that latter stretch he's batting .464 (13-for-28) with two homers, four RBI and seven runs scored. He also swiped his league-leading 38th bag Thursday after failing to record a steal over his previous eight games. Rotowire.com Today, 4:22 am

    • Noelvi Marte tallies three hits in season debut
Noelvi Marte tallied three hits on Thursday in his season debut against the Cardinals.

Advice: Marte showed zero signs of rust in his season debut, which is impressive considering he struggled during his recent minor league rehab assignment, after serving an 80-game suspension following a positive test for a performance-enhancing substance to open the year. The 22-year-old top prospect, who went 3-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored on Thursday evening, should be rostered in all fantasy formats as a potential four-category impact contributor. There aren’t a ton of questions regarding the talent and he has a clear path to everyday at-bats at the hot corner moving forward with Christian Encarnacion-Strand out for the season.
