• Weeks away from rehab assignment
Peraza (shoulder) has been hitting at the Yankees' complex in Tampa while continuing to progress through his throwing program, but manager Aaron Bone said Sunday that the infielder remains weeks away from playing in minor-league games, per MLB.com.

Advice: Peraza's shoulder issue first cropped up Feb. 25 and was followed by renewed soreness after he attempted to return to Grapefruit League play March 5. He has been throwing regularly since the first week of April, so the team appears to be giving the 23-year-old ample time to fully recover. Peraza is one of three Yankees third basemen currently on the injured list, as DJ LeMahieu (foot) was pulled early from a minor-league rehab start Tuesday while Jon Berti (groin) has yet to begin a rehab assignment. • Taking grounders
Marcano (knee) has been taking groundballs as he begins to ramp up his baseball activities, per MLB.com.

Advice: Marcano continues to rehab from the ACL surgery he underwent in August of last year. The 24-year-old was placed on the 10-day IL on March 19, so he'll be eligible to return as soon as he's physically ready to do so. Given that Marcano didn't see any spring training action, he'll likely require an extended rehab assignment in the minors before the Padres consider promoting him to the big-league roster. • Zack Neto collects two hits, two RBI in victory
Zach Neto finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI as the Angels topped the Orioles 7-4 on Tuesday.

Advice: Neto has two hits in back-to-back games, raising his average from .167 to .205. He should continue to improve from here, and while he’s not currently a mixed-league option as the Angels’ No. 9 hitter, it’s quite possible he’ll prove useful later this season. • Ryan Mountcastle singles as pinch-hitter
Ryan Mountcastle came off the bench on Tuesday and singled as a pinch-hitter against the Angels.

Advice: Mountcastle was out of the starting lineup for a second straight day due to knee soreness. That he felt well enough to stay in and play first base after batting tonight bodes well for Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:42 pm
  • Mike Yastrzemski drives in three versus Mets
Mike Yastrzemski knocked in three runs with two singles against the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Both were rather soft hits, and he struck out in his other at-bat, so we’re not sure we’d say his early slump is over. Yastrzemski is hitting .208/.296/.271 through 55 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:02 pm
  • Joey Wendle goes 0-for-4 in loss to Giants
Joey Wendle went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: It seems way off that Wendle has started three of the Mets’ last five games while Tyrone Taylor has been on the bench for all five. To be fair, Brett Baty was unavailable for two of those, making Wendle a reasonable option at third. However, the Mets put Wendle at second and Jeff McNeil in left field tonight, even though Taylor in left with McNeil at his usual position was almost surely the better option. • Goes yard in blowout loss
Contreras went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 14-1 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Contreras provided a positive start for the Cardinals with his first-inning blast, but it quickly went off the rails for the home team after that. The catcher saw his 11-game hitting streak end Monday, but he's still been one of the Cardinals' most consistent bats so far. He's slashing .292/.418/.523 with three homers, eight RBI, 10 runs scored, six doubles and a stolen base over 19 contests. Manager Oliver Marmol has committed to getting both Contreras and Ivan Herrera regular at-bats, so they have often shared catcher and designated hitter in recent weeks. • Keeps raking
Raleigh went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 4-0 win against the Rangers.

Advice: Raleigh tagged Dane Dunning for a two-run shot in the first inning to plate J.P. Crawford, marking the fourth long ball of his last five appearances. During that stretch, Raleigh is batting .474 with nine RBI, five runs scored and three multi-hit games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm
  • Puts tally in home run column
Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Rangers.

Advice: After launching 60 combined homers in his first two MLB seasons, Rodriguez was homerless through 22 games in 2024 before tagging Dane Dunning for a two-run shot Tuesday. Despite his lack of long balls, Rodriguez has been a strong fantasy producer, having racked up five multi-hit games and four stolen bases in his last seven appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:43 pm
