    • Greene blanks DET over seven with seven strikeouts
Hunter Greene blanked the Tigers for seven innings but didn’t qualify for a decision Saturday.

Advice: Greene was outstanding. His bullpen was not. The right-hander left with a 2-0 lead but the Tigers pounced on the Cincinnati reliers to prevent him from picking up his deserved win. It was one of the most efficient outings for the 24-year-old that saw him throw 63-of-104 pitches for strikes while allowing just three hits. Greene has special talent, it’s just a matter of finding that efficiency on a more consistent basis. He’ll get the Rockies at home before the break. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago
    • Kwan belts ninth home run in win Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a solo home run against the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: Kwan’s home run was his ninth of the season. He hit a single in the first inning against Kyle Harrison and came around to score on an RBI groundout by Josh Naylor. In the second inning, he homered off Harrison. That’ll do. Kwan is hitting .365 with a .963 OPS and 27 RBI on the season. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Diaz has three hits, three-run home run in loss
Yandy Diaz went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, and a three-run home run against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Diaz’ home run was his eighth of the season. His three-run shot in the seventh inning off Jacob Latz put the Rays on top 3-2. Diaz is hitting just .270 on the season, but has picked it up lately. He’s 42-for-133 (.315) over his last 31 games. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

    • Sitting again Saturday
Polanco isn't in Seattle's lineup Saturday versus the Blue Jays.

Advice: Saturday will mark the third straight game that Polanco hasn't started, with Dylan Moore starting at second base for the second time in a row. The 31-year-old has put up a career-low .576 OPS through 208 plate appearances, although he has recorded a base hit in five of his last six games. Rotowire.com Today, 11:23 am

    • Clubs 22nd homer
Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's loss to the Phillies.

Advice: The veteran slugger got hold of a 98.4 mph two-seamer from Jose Alvarado in the eighth inning, driving it 409 feet over the fence in right field. Ozuna snapped an 11-game homer drought with the blast -- tied for his longest dry spell of the year -- and while he has slowed down after a blistering start to the season, he's still slashing .296/.377/.560 through 86 contests with 22 homers and 70 RBI, with the latter mark tying him for the NL lead with Alec Bohm. • No charges filed against Wander Franco in D.R.
Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic didn’t formally present charges against Wander Franco by Friday’s deadline.

Advice: Under the Dominican Republic’s legal process, prosecutors still have an additional 15 days to act, which means that Franco hasn’t been cleared of any legal repercussions yet. The 23-year-old remains on administrative leave until July 14. It’s extremely difficult to envision a scenario where Franco resumes his playing career in the majors, even if he winds up avoiding any legal ramifications, following allegations of having an inappropriate relationship with an underage minor. • Pablo Lopez surrenders six runs in defeat
Pablo López was tagged for six runs in five innings Friday in a loss to the Astros.

Advice: López didn’t allow any extra-base hits tonight, but the singles were all bunched together. Four came in a three-run second inning that featured just one hard-hit ball. The remaining three runs all scored in the sixth after he allowed three singles to begin the inning and was pulled. The loss leaves him 8-7 with a 5.17 ERA, but that just makes him an excellent buy-low candidate in fantasy leagues, Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:53 pm

    • Cole Ragans pitches well in no decision vs. COL
Cole Ragans didn’t factor into the decision despite allowing just two runs in seven innings with eight strikeouts against the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Ragans did walk three and gave up five hits, but for the most part, it was a very strong outing and a nice bounce back from his struggles against the Guardians (4 2/3 innings, five runs). The left-hander has shown that 2023 was no fluke with a 3.28 ERA and 134/37 K/BB over his 19 starts and 109 2/3 innings of work. He very well could — and should — be named an All-Star, but his last start before that game will come against the Red Sox on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:29 pm

    • Shane Baz takes loss to Rangers in 2024 debut
Shane Baz took a loss after allowing three runs in six innings Friday against the Rangers in his 2024 debut.

Advice: Baz allowed four singles and one double in the third, resulting in all three runs. He gave up just two additional hits and wound up with six strikeouts and one walk in the quality start. Unfortunately, quality starts aren’t enough for Rays pitchers this season, as the offense has proven incapable of scoring consistently. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
