    • Grinds out seven innings
Webb (4-5) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six over seven innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Yankees.

Advice: Webb gave up a pair of runs in the first and third innings, but he was able to eat innings despite the loss. He threw 74 of 108 pitches for strikes, though this ended his run of four straight quality starts. Webb is at a 2.95 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 67:20 K:BB over 79.1 innings across 13 starts this season. After posting a 1.3 BB/9 last year, his walk rate has risen to 2.3 this year, which is in line with previous seasons. Webb is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Rangers. • Neris picks up seventh save Saturday
Hector Neris tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: The save was Neris’ seventh of the season. No one is going to confuse Neris with a shutdown closer. Even with the two strikeouts and no walks on Saturday, he has a SO:BB of 18:15 in 21 innings this season. Neris’ ERA is 3.00 but his xFIP is 5.10. He’s valuable in fantasy as long as he’s getting saves for the Cubs, but he’s shaky and that could catch up to him sooner rather than later. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:39 pm
    • Continues hot hitting
Profar went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Friday's 11-8 victory versus the Royals.

Advice: Profar plated a run with a single in the sixth inning and added another RBI knock in the Padres' nine-run eighth. The veteran is working on a modest four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 7-for-15 with a home run and five RBI. Profar's .330 batting average this season is second in the majors behind only teammate Luis Arraez (.342). Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:10 am
    • Sharp in Friday's no-decision
Berrios came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander pounded the zone in his fourth straight quality start and 10th in 12 trips to the mound this season, firing 69 of 101 pitches for strikes. Berrios is tracking toward a career year, and he'll take a 2.78 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB through 74.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Orioles. • Blanks Jays in no-decision
Falter came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings loss to the Blue Jays, allowing two hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The southpaw left the game with the Pirates nursing a 1-0 lead, but the game didn't end up getting decided until the 14th. Falter tossed 56 of 81 pitches for strikes in his fourth straight quality start and sixth of the season. The former Phillie has become a surprisingly reliable rotation option in 2024. He'll take a 3.22 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 38:16 K:BB through 64.1 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:18 am
    • Logs steal in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

Advice: Freeman had been leading off over the last couple of weeks, but that should be done with Steven Kwan (hamstring) returning from the injured list Friday. Freeman was second in the order Friday against southpaw Patrick Corbin, but he'll likely bat lower against right-handers moving forward. Freeman's steal was his second in five games and his eighth of the campaign. He's still at a mediocre .223/.317/.354 slash line with four home runs, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored and 11 doubles over 203 plate appearances overall, but he's hit .295 (18-for-61) over his last 16 contests. • José Berríos allows one earned run in no-decision
José Berríos struck out five Pirates across seven innings on Friday in a no-decision. He allowed six hits and didn’t walk a batter.

Advice: Berríos leaned into his trusted slurve in this one and kept the Pirates off-balance all night. He’s allowed more than three earned runs in just one start this season while completing at least six innings 10 times in 12 starts. That’s as steady as they come. Rotoworld Friday, 8:05 pm

    • Bailey Falter great again across six innings
Bailey Falter pitched a scoreless six innings in a no-decision against the Blue Jays on Friday. He struck out five, walked two, and allowed just two hits.

Advice: Falter just keeps going. 79% of his pitches in this start were either fastballs or sinkers and the Blue Jays were completely helpless, reaching base just four times against him. We keep waiting for the other shoe to drop with Falter, but it hasn’t as the league can’t figure out how to square him up. He will take a sparkling 3.22 ERA into his next start against the vaunted Dodgers. Rotoworld Friday, 8:04 pm
    • Back from IL
The Dodgers reinstated Phillips (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list Friday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Phillips was forced onto the injured list May 5 after suffering a right hamstring strain. He's since thrown 1.2 innings of shutout ball while striking out three batters and walking none during a rehab assignment with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The 29-year-old right-hander should immediately reclaim his spot as the Dodgers' closer, a role he thrived in prior to getting injured. Elieser Hernandez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:20 pm
