      Mason Miller fired a perfect ninth inning on Friday against the Blue Jays to pick up his first win of the season.

      Advice: Miller’s fastball velocity was down slightly in this one as he failed to touch triple-digits on three fastballs, but was still averaging a sizzling 99.4 mph in this one. He needed just 12 pitches to strike out a pair of batters in a flawless ninth inning before JJ Bleday delivered a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame to give him his first win of the year. The hard-thrwoing 25-year-old former top prospect has blossomed into arguably the best reliever in baseball this season with 12 saves to go along with a stellar 2.20 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 54/11 K/BB ratio across 28 2/3 innings (22 appearances). With the Royals trailing 9-8, Witt Jr. spanked a triple down the left-field line to score the tying run, and he scored on a fielder’s choice to give Kansas City the win in a game they trailed 7-0 after the top half of the first inning.       Teoscar Hernández went 2-for-4 and doubled in two runs in the 11th to propel the Dodgers past the Yankees 2-1 on Friday.

      Advice: It was a scoreless game until Hernández delivered the contest’s first big hit off Ian Hamilton in the 11th. It actually gave him his first multi-RBI game since May 14.
