Marsh allows four runs, strikes out eight vs. M’s
Alec Marsh gave up four runs in five-plus innings while striking out eight Saturday against the Mariners while being credited with a win.
Advice: Marsh, 26, gave up seven hits without issuing a walk. The first pitch he threw was hit over the fence by J.P. Crawford, but he settled down nicely over the next few innings while taking advantage of Seattle’s swing-and-miss issues. He did struggle in the fifth before being pulled, but the stuff was better than this line suggests. Marsh has streaming appeal, but that appeal doesn’t apply to a scheduled start next week against the Yankees.
