    • Pops eighth homer
Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder took Ryne Nelson deep in the third inning to give the Nationals an early lead that quickly slipped away. Thomas had a tough start to the season due to injuries, but he appears healthy now and back in his 2023 form. He's hit safely in 11 of the last 13 games, slashing .292/.345/.667 over that stretch with five of his eight homers on the year and 12 of his 23 runs. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Adds finishing touch in win
Walker went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 5-2 win over Washington.

Advice: Walker provided an insurance run with a solo blast in the ninth inning for his team-leading 17th home run of the season and fifth in the last eight games. He also leads the Diamondbacks with 50 RBI. The 33-year-old can still bring it, as Walker is among the upper percentiles in bat speed, average exit velocity, barrels and hard-hit percentage. • Notches eighth victory
Stone (8-2) earned the win over Colorado on Thursday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Stone performed well in the Colorado altitude, as none of the four hits against him went for extra bases. The right-hander was working on a shutout through five frames but fell off in the sixth inning, loading the bases with one out on a pair of walks and a single before getting the hook. Two of those three runners scored after his departure, but that didn't prevent Stone from registering the win. The 25-year-old has become a key part of Los Angeles' rotation in his first full MLB campaign, leading the team with eight victories while posting a 3.04 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB over 80 innings. • Homers in return to lineup
Judge went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in Thursday's loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Judge did his best to bring the Yankees back from a large deficit early with a two-run shot in the third and an RBI single in the fifth, but his effort would fall well short as Baltimore's offense exploded for 17 runs. The long ball was the outfielder's 28th of the season, which leads the majors, and he's now recorded at least one RBI in seven of his last 11 games. Judge is batting .418 in June following Thursday's performance with seven home runs, 22 RBI and 17 runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:18 pm

    • Collects 22nd save
Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning Thursday, striking out one to earn the save against Seattle.

Advice: Clase had allowed earned runs in consecutive appearances on June 9 and 11 but has regained his form since, tossing his third consecutive clean outing to close out the game for the Guardians. Clase ranks first in the American League with 22 saves, ranking behind only Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals who has 24 to lead the major leagues. Through 35.1 innings this season, Clase has allowed only three earned runs for an ERA of 0.76 with a 0.62 WHIP and 36 strikeouts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:16 pm
    • Zac Gallen (hamstring) to throw sim game next week
Zac Gallen (hamstring) is scheduled to throw another simulated game early next week.

Advice: The hope here is that Gallen will be ready to be activated, without requiring a minor league rehab assignment, after next week’s simulated game. The 28-year-old righty has been on the shelf since late May after suffering a Grade 1 right hamstring strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:46 pm

    • Lit up for seven runs
Gil (9-2) was hit with the loss against the Orioles on Thursday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

Advice: Gil struggled out of the gate, surrendering a leadoff double to open the contest before then eventually allowing one run in the first. However, things would get much worse for the right-hander in the following frame as he failed to retire nine of the next 10 batters he faced, leading to his shortest outing of the campaign. Gil gave up a season-high seven runs on the afternoon and failed to make it through six innings for the third-consecutive start. It also marked his first loss since April 15 against Toronto. • Aaron Judge slugs 27th homer in return to lineup
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Thursday in the Yankees’ blowout loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Judge returned to the Yankees lineup for Thursday afternoon’s showdown against Baltimore after missing only one game with left hand contusion. The home run was his 27th of the season and he’s already up to 67 RBI. Fantasy managers can exhale with the return of one of the best hitters in the game and based on this contest, it doesn’t seem like the hand is bothering him at all. • Gil hammered for seven runs against Orioles
Luis Gil allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Gil gave up eight hits, walked two and struck out one. He was due to have a bad start. Gil entered the game with a .194 BABIP allowed and 83 percent left on base percentage. Both of those took a hit in the seven-run blow up. Gil’s ERA is up to 2.77 on the season. He’ll look to bounce back against the Mets on the road next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm
