      The Phillies are planning to put Kyle Schwarber on the IL with what they’re terming a mild groin strain.

      Advice: They’re hopeful he’ll return after 10 days. Darick Hall could be the callup in Schwarber’s place, but he’s had a disappointing season in Triple-A.       Turner went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in Thursday's win over the Yankees.

      Advice: The hit was a fluky one -- he squibbed a ball down the first-base line, and it caromed off the bag and away from Ben Rice rather than rolling foul -- but Turner still put together a productive night in a 9-2 rout. The veteran slugger has found a groove at the plate, going 10-for-25 (.400) over the last eight games with a double, a homer, four RBI, seven runs and an 8:6 BB:K.       Advice: McArthur entered the game with a one-run lead in the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side for his 14th save of the season. The right-hander has been very reliable as of late, hurling a perfect inning in each of his last three appearances while lowering his June ERA to 2.00.
