    • Taking seat Thursday
Fry is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Fry will take a seat for Thursday's series finale, as he had been scheduled to head to the bench Wednesday before that game was postponed due to inclement weather. Though his 1.092 OPS on the season ranks first in the majors among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry still hasn't quite locked down a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be out of the lineup for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 am

    • Registers another quality start
Berrios allowed two runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two batters over six innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday.

Advice: Berrios didn't do much in the strikeout department with just two punchouts, but he was nonetheless very effective in recording his fifth straight quality start. The right-hander has just one win during that span but has put up a very solid 2.73 ERA. Aside from an eight-run, 3.2 inning blowup against Philadelphia on May 7, Berrios has been a model of consistency this season, allowing three or fewer runs in each of his other 12 starts. On the campaign, he's registered a 2.80 ERA along with a 60:21 K:BB across 80.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:32 pm
    • Homers again Wednesday
Lewis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Lewis homered in his return from a lengthy absence due to a quad injury Tuesday, and he left the yard again Wednesday in his second game back. The third baseman has played in just three contests this season, but he's maximized his opportunities with a long ball in each of those games. Altogether, he's gone 4-for-7 with the three homers, three RBI and two walks across nine plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm

    • José Berríos delivers quality start versus Orioles
José Berríos allowed two runs over six innings Wednesday in a no-decision versus the Orioles.

Advice: Berríos delivered a sixth straight quality start, though he has only one win during the span. Tonight’s outing did nothing at all for his FIP, which has lagged way behind his ERA all year, but he continued to defy his peripherals in finishing the game with two strikeouts, three walks and a homer allowed (a solo shot to Anthony Santander). He’s 5-4 with a 2.80 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:18 pm
    • Royce Lewis homers again in loss to Yankees
Royce Lewis homered for the third consecutive game on Wednesday, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Twins past the Yankees.

Advice: Lewis went deep on opening day and then crushed another homer in his return from the injured list on Tuesday. He followed that up with a 373-foot (100.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Dennis Santana in the seventh inning that pulled the Twins to within six runs at 9-3. He finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .571/.667/1.857 with three homers and three RBI through his first three games on the season. He just needs to stay healthy. • José Alvarado strikes out the side for 11th save
José Alvarado struck out the side in the ninth inning on Wednesday against the Brewers to collect his 11th save of the season.

Advice: Alvarado worked around a one-out single from William Contreras to pick up his second save in the last three days, striking out Andruw Monasterio, Christian Yelich and Willy Adames to protect a two-run margin. The 29-year-old southpaw has converted 11 of his 12 save opportunities this season to go along with a solid 2.96 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 29/10 K/BB ratio across 27 1/3 innings (29 appearances). He’ll likely continue splitting save chances with Jeff Hoffman moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:50 pm
    • Nails down 11th save
Alvarado gave up a hit and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his 11th save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Brewers.

Advice: The southpaw picked up his first save since May 21 with a dominant effort, as he fired 15 of 21 pitches for strikes. Alvarado is putting together a strong season, posting a 2.96 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 29:10 K:BB through 27.1 innings and blowing only one save chance so far, but the Phillies' tendency to play matchups in high-leverage spots keeps him from being an elite fantasy closer, as Jeff Hoffman (five saves) and Gregory Soto (two saves) are also in the ninth-inning mix. • Royals-Guardians postponed
Singer and the Royals won't play the Guardians on Wednesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Cleveland.

Advice: The Royals and Guardians will make up the postponed game as part of a split doubleheader Aug. 26 After missing his previous turn through the rotation last Thursday due to an illness, Singer was cleared to start Wednesday, but he looks like he'll have to wait until Thursday's series finale with the Guardians to make his return to the rotation. • Not starting Wednesday
Fry is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Among all players with at least 140 plate appearances, Fry leads the majors with a 1.092 OPS on the season, but he still hasn't quite seized hold of a full-time role in Cleveland. He'll be on the bench for the second time in three games while the Guardians go with Bo Naylor at catcher and Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:10 pm
