    Advice: Cave was hit in the head during batting practice Friday but returned to the lineup one day later. He participated in Colorado's 16-run offensive outburst in a significant way, and he now has at least one hit in each of his last four starts. Cave entered the lineup with Brenton Doyle (knee) scratched, though he may find consistent playing time hard to come by assuming Doyle doesn't require a stint on the injured list.     Diaz went 1-for-4 with a walk Saturday against Atlanta.

    Advice: Diaz extended his hitting streak to nine games with the performance, during which he's collected multiple hits on five occasions. He's hitting .359 in that span, though his production has otherwise been empty as he has zero extra-base hits, one RBI and three runs scored.     Advice: Goodman got the party started with a 440-foot solo shot off Jared Jones to lead off the bottom of the third and added an RBI double in the following frame. The utility man, who drew the start at catcher on Saturday, would then top off his monster day at the plate by crushing a two-run homer in the seventh and an RBI groundout in the eighth. He finished with season highs in hits (four), RBI (five) and runs scored (three) after coming into the contest on an 0-for-14 skid to open the month of June.     Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI Saturday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: It’s been a fantastic June for Vaughn, even with the White Sox playing at an absolutely abhorrent level. The 26-year-old hit a two-run blast off Bryce Jarvis in the fifth, and the first baseman drove in another run with a single two innings earlier.     Olson went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run in a 9-2 win against Tampa Bay on Saturday.

    Advice: Olson was part of a big fifth inning for Atlanta, swatting the team's third and final homer in the frame. The first baseman extended his hitting streak to nine contests, a stretch during which he is batting .361 (13-for-26) with two home runs and five RBI.   • Toglia hits grand slam as Rockies clobber Pirates
    Michael Toglia hit a grand slam in a blowout victory for the Rockies over the Pirates on Saturday.

    Advice: Toglia turned a comfortable lead of 11-4 into a certified blowout with his grand slam off Dennis Santana. It’s the second time he’s cleared the bases and made it home on the same play in 2024, but the other one was a Little League slam against the Cardinals.   • Hunter Goodman homers twice, drives in five
    Hunter Goodman homered twice, picked up four hits and drove in five runs in a 16-4 shellacking of the Pirates on Saturday.

    Advice: Goodman also scored three runs in a monster game for the 24-year-old. There haven’t been many for the infielder/backstop, but he showed off his impressive raw power with a pair of homers to center; one a solo shot and the other a two-run blast.
