  • Jose Peraza elects free agency
Jose Peraza has elected free agency.

Advice: The Red Sox removed Peraza from their 40-man roster and he's decided to test out the market rather than accept an outright assignment. He might have to settle for a minor league contract after he hit just .225/.275/.342 this season. Rotoworld.com Today, 1:41 pm

  • Dodgers' Corey Seager wins 2020 World Series MVP
Corey Seager was named MVP of the 2020 World Series.

Advice: Seager went 0-for-3 with a walk and an RBI fielder's choice grounder in Tuesday night's Game 6 clincher, finishing the series 8-for-20 with two home runs, five RBI, six walks, and seven runs scored. He also won the 2020 NLCS MVP and is now the eighth player in MLB history to earn a League Championship Series MVP and World Series MVP in the same postseason. The others: 2014 Madison Bumgarner, 2011 David Freese, 2008 Cole Hamels, 1997 Livan Hernandez, 1988 Orel Hershiser, 1982 Darrell Porter, and 1979 Willie Stargell. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:07 pm

  • Tzu-Wei Lin outrighted to Triple-A
Red Sox sent INF Tzu-Wei Lin outright to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Advice: Lin hit just .154/.182/.173 over 57 plate appearances with the Red Sox this season. While the 26-year-old is now off the 40-man roster, he'll stick around as organizational depth. Rotoworld.com Monday, 12:51 pm

  • Corey Seager homers again as Dodgers drop Game 4
Corey Seager went 4-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and three runs scored on Saturday, but it wasn't enough to lead the Dodgers past the Rays in Game 4 of the World Series.

Advice: Seager clobbered a solo shot off of Rays starter Ryan Yarbrough in the third inning, increasing the Dodgers early lead to 2-0. It was his eighth home run of the postseason -- matching the MLB record for most home runs in a single postseason, that is until Randy Arozarena belted his ninth the following inning. Seager also delivered a clutch two-out bloop RBI single in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers a 7-6 lead at the time. He’s hitting a ridiculous .344 (21-for-61) with the aforementioned eight long balls and 18 RBI through 16 games this postseason. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 9:07 pm

  • Enrique Hernandez in Dodgers lineup for Game 4
Enrique Hernandez is starting at second base and batting ninth for the Dodgers in Game 4 of the World Series against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: As is often the case against left-handers, Hernandez finds his way into the Dodgers lineup with Ryan Yarbrough toeing the slab for the Rays on Saturday. It's the same lineup that the Dodgers rolled in their loss to Blake Snell in Game 2, with the only exception that Hernandez and Chris Taylor have been flipped in the lineup. Here's the full order for the Dodgers on Saturday: Mookie Betts RF, Corey Seager SS, Justin Turner 3B, Max Muncy 1B, Will Smith C, Cody Bellinger DH, AJ Pollock CF, Chris Taylor LF, Hernandez 2B.  Rotoworld.com Saturday, 12:54 pm

  • Willy Adames drives in run in Game 3 loss Friday
Willy Adames went 1-for-3 with an RBI double as the Rays fell to to Dodgers in Game 3 of the World Series on Friday night.

Advice: The Rays finally broke through against Walker Buehler in the fifth inning, as Manuel Margot reached on a one-out double, then scored on the two-out RBI double off the bat of Adames. The 25-year-old has had a rough postseason at the dish, hitting just .149 (7-for-47) with four RBI and a 20/13 K/BB ratio. Rotoworld.com Friday, 7:57 pm

  • Angels showing early interest in Didi Gregorius
George A. King of the New York Post reports that the Angels have shown early interest in upcoming free agent Didi Gregorius.

Advice: Andrelton Simmons is also a free agent, and assuming that the Angels aren't able to bring him back, there's certainly a need to add a shortstop. Gregorius has also been mentioned as a potential target of the Yankees -- as King points out -- with discussions that the Yankees might want to move Gleyber Torres back to second base even if they're able to bring back DJ LeMahieu. The 30-year-old hit .284/.339/.488 with 10 homers and 40 RBI while playing in all 60 games for the Phillies.  Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:57 pm

  • Chris Taylor smacks two-run homer
Chris Taylor hit a two-run homer in Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday.

Advice: Blake Snell had not allowed a hit yet before Taylor took him deep with two out in the bottom of the fifth inning with an opposite-field shot. It's Taylor's first dinger of this postseason. He struck out in all three of his other plate appearances, including on a check-swing to end the game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:55 pm

  • Corey Seager goes deep again but Dodgers lose
Corey Seager belted his seventh homer of the postseason Wednesday in the Dodgers' loss to the Rays.

Advice: Seager led off the eighth inning with a blast to dead-center field off of flame-throwing Pete Fairbanks. He also had a single earlier in the game. The long ball was Seager's seventh of the season, which ties him with Randy Arozarena. The most ever hit in a single postseason is eight, which is a three-way tie held by Nelson Cruz (2011), Carlos Beltran (2004) and Barry Bonds (2002). Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 8:01 pm

  • Enrique Hernandez at 2B in World Series Game 2
Enrique Hernandez is starting at second base and batting eighth for the Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday night against the Rays.

Advice: Hernandez has primarily functioned as an off-the-bench player for Los Angeles during this 2020 postseason run, and he's been brilliant in that role. Now he'll get a chance to start in Game 2 with the Rays throwing left-hander Blake Snell. The full lineup for the Dodgers, who are currently up 1-0 in the best-of-seven Fall Classic: Mookie Betts RF, Corey Seager SS, Justin Turner 3B, Max Muncy 1B, Will Smith C, Cody Bellinger CF, A.J. Pollock DH, Enrique Hernandez 2B, Chris Taylor LF. Tony Gonsolin will be the starting pitcher. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:31 pm

  • Corey Seager awarded NLCS MVP after slugging .897
Corey Seager was awarded the NLCS MVP.

Advice: Seager went 0-for-5 on Sunday, but it's tough to argue he wasn't the most valuable player in this series. The shortstop hit .310/.333/.897 in the seven games, and he connected on five homers while driving in 11 runs. Seager has been outstanding since the start of the season, and he'll have a chance to give the Dodgers their first championship since 1988.  Rotoworld.com Oct 18, 9:07 pm

  • Hernandez ties game with solo homer off Minter
Enrique Hernandez hit a pinch-hit solo homer to tie the game and help the Dodgers top the Braves on Sunday in Game 7 of the NLCS.

Advice: It may just seem that Hernandez has every clutch hit over the past few seasons, but he certainly has a bunch of them, anyway. Hernandez tied the game at 3-3 when he crushed an A.J. Minter offering into the left field stands in the sixth inning after pinch-hitting for Joc Pederson. He remains a lefty killer, and that will be his role for the Dodgers in the World Series against the Rays starting on Tuesday.  Rotoworld.com Oct 18, 9:06 pm

  • Swanson first ever SS to homer in Game 7 of NLCS
Dansby Swanson clobbered a solo homer in a loss to the Dodgers in Game 7 of the NLCS on Sunday.

Advice: Swanson put the Braves out front by a 2-0 score when he obliterated a Tony Gonsolin pitch in the second inning. Amazingly, that is the first time that a shortstop has ever hit a homer in a Game 7 of either League Championship Series. Swanson performed well in the series with a .269/.367/.462 line, but the Braves just couldn't do enough to advance to the World Series for the first time since 1999. Under team control until 2023, Swanson will be the starting shortstop for Atlanta barring something unforeseeable.  Rotoworld.com Oct 18, 8:54 pm
