    • Seven strong innings
      King came away with a no-decision Sunday against the Royals, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four over seven innings.

      Advice: King was sharp, not allowing an extra-base hit and turning in another quality start, his fifth over his past six contests. The 29-year-old snapped a three-game streak allowing a home run, something he has struggled with all season -- his 1.8 HR/9 ranks in the ninth percentile. On the whole, King has been solid this season, recording a 3.82 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with a 78:31 K:BB across 73 innings.     • Slugs homer in easy win
      Garcia went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI during Sunday's 6-0 win over the Marlins.

      Advice: Garcia snapped a five-game hitless streak Sunday, delivering two hits and pushing his RBI total to 40 this season. He also notched his 13th long ball of 2024, taking Trevor Rogers yard in the sixth frame. Garcia ranks top 15 in homers and RBI this year and is slashing .231/.285/.462 through 212 plate appearances.     • Allows five runs in loss
      Brown (1-2) allowed five runs on six hits across five innings to take the loss Sunday against the Reds. He walked one and struck out six.

      Advice: Brown actually pitched decently, but he was done in by a three-run home run by TJ Friedl and a lack of run support in the 5-2 loss. The five runs allowed are the rookie's most since he gave up six in his MLB debut back on March 30. Outside of the few hiccups, Brown has been pretty solid, and he's still sitting with a strong 3.33 ERA across 51.1 innings to go along with 61 strikeouts. The righty is penciled in to start again on Saturday against this same Cincinnati squad, though the pending return of Jordan Wicks (forearm) could push Brown out of the rotation after that.     • Freddie Freeman homers, swipes bag to lead Dodgers
      Freddie Freeman homered, swiped a base and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday, leading the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Rockies.

      Advice: Freeman was the second member of the Dodgers’ lineup to victimize Austin Gomber in the opening inning, clobbering a 396-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot just off of the outstretched glove of Brenton Doyle to increase the Dodgers’ early lead to 2-0. The 34-year-old superstar then led off the third inning with a walk, swiped second base and scored on an RBI knock by Miguel Rojas. Freeman also plated a run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. For the season, he’s slashing .293/.399/.477 to go along with seven homers, 35 RBI and just two stolen bases.       Freeman went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, three walks, two RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Freeman went yard in the first inning and added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The three walks he drew Sunday matched his total of free passes from his previous 13 games. Freeman's at a 13.4 percent walk rate on the year to go along with an equally impressive 16.0 percent strikeout rate. The first baseman has a .293/.399/.477 slash line with seven homers, 35 RBI, 35 runs scored, two steals, 16 doubles and two triples over 61 contests.     • Allows two runs, works into seventh
      Irvin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs on eight hits and one walk over 6.1 innings against the Rays. He struck out one.

      Advice: Irvin entered the seventh with a two-run lead having allowed only a single run, but a leadoff homer in the inning by Jose Caballero cut the lead in half, and the hurler was pulled after facing one more batter prior to the lineup turning back over for the Rays. It was Irvin's first quality start since May 3, though he's allowed no more than three earned runs in each of his last nine games and has posted five scoreless outings during that span. Throughout that stretch, he's thrown 47 innings with a 1.72 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 30 strikeouts.     • Michael King gets tough luck no decision vs KC
      Michael King allowed one run on four hits in seven innings in a no-decision against the Royals.

      Advice: King was all set to record the win with the Padres up 3-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth inning. However, with their bullpen being taxed heavily over the last few days, the Padres had to go with Yuki Matsui to close the game, and he allowed three runs while only recording one out. King was only able to induce eight whiffs on 48 swings for a 17 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW, but he allowed an average exit velocity on all batted balls of just 84 mph. Despite some poor starts, he has been a solid fantasy starter for much of the year and makes for a fine play against the Diamondbacks next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:37 pm
       
    • Alexis Díaz earns 12th save in win over Cubs
      Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to secure a 5-2 win over the Cubs on Sunday.

      Advice: Díaz walked one and struck out on and was never really in any jeopardy. Of course, it’s been a struggle for him this season, and the command issues are a big reason why. He now has a 5.64 ERA on the season but has a decent amount of job security with nobody to really threaten him in the bullpen. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:31 pm
       
    • Ben Brown struggles in follow-up to no-hit effort
      Ben Brown allowed five runs on six hits in five innings in a loss to the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Brown struck out six and walked one, but he was far more hittable in this one than last week. Brown did post a 32 percent whiff rate and 36 percent CSW on the day, but much of that was on the back of his curveball, which is a strong pitch. His four-seam fastball is less impressive, and Brown threw it 70 percent of the time on Sunday, which is part of the downside of Brown as a two-pitch pitcher. Brown has a 3.33 ERA on the season and has clear strikeout upside, but his limited pitch mix will make him a volatile fantasy asset and with Jordan Wicks set to return from the injured list, there’s no telling how many more starts Brown will make after next week’s start in Cincinnati.
