    • Gets lots of run support in victory
Gil (11-5) earned the win over Philadelphia on Monday, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Gil was given a 3-0 lead after two frames, and despite allowing a run in each of the third and fourth innings, he cruised to his 11th victory of the season as the Yankees offense piled on 14 runs by the end of the contest. The right-hander tallied 14 swinging strikes en route to eight punchouts and gave up just one extra-base hit (a solo homer). Gil's three-game streak of allowing just one run came to an end, but he did pick up his second with over his past three starts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:42 pm

    • Chad Green gets hold against Orioles
Chad Green wound up with a hold in the second game of Monday’s doubleheader after retiring all four Orioles he faced in the seventh and eighth innings.

Advice: Green looks like the clear favorite for saves in the Toronto pen at this point, but the Jays declined to hold him back for the ninth tonight. It turned out to be the right decision, as the Jays added to their lead, and Genesis Cabrera was able to protect a four-run lead in the ninth. There’s the chance Green will be traded Tuesday, but since Toronto has him under contract for next year and hopes to return to contention then, it’s quite possible he’ll stay put. If Green does go, Erik Swanson has his velocity back and could take over in the ninth. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:01 pm
    • Yields two homers Monday
Rea allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Rea put in a decent outing, though he allowed solo home runs to Marcell Ozuna and Orlando Arcia. This was the fourth time all year Rea has been tagged for multiple homers, and he's taken a no-decision in each of those instances. The veteran right-hander is now at a 3.59 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 90:35 K:BB through 115.1 innings over 21 appearances (18 starts). Rea is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road versus the Nationals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:56 pm

    • Tagged for seven runs
Gilbert (6-7) took the loss Monday against the Red Sox, allowing seven runs on seven hits over 2.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Gilbert got through the first two innings clean and then proceeded to allow all seven of his runs with two outs in the third before being pulled. The 2.2 innings is his shortest start of the season and his shortest since 2021. The seven runs allowed are his second most this season, he also allowed four extra-base hits, which is tied for his most in any start in 2024. This can be chalked up to a bad night for the 27-year-old, as he entered Monday with a 1.85 ERA in his previous seven starts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:41 pm
    • Collects hit in Mets debut
Winker went 1-for-2 with a walk and one run scored in Monday's 15-2 win against the Twins.

Advice: After being acquired from the Nationals on Sunday, Winker drew his first start with the Mets in right field while hitting fifth. The veteran outfielder walked and then scored on a Jeff McNeil single in the fourth in his second plate appearance before lacing a single off Cole Sands in the fifth inning. Winker is now hitting .258 with 11 homers and 14 steals this season and should garner starts in the middle of the Mets' lineup against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:03 pm

    • Colin Rea allows just two solo homers vs. ATL
Colin Rea gave up two runs in 5 1/3 innings with six strikeouts in a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

Advice: Rea only allowed three hits, which is good. Two of those hits were solo homers, which is not as good. He struck out six and walked two, which is fine. Rea will be back on the bump and take a 3.59 ERA into a start Sunday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:45 pm

    • Logan Gilbert melts down in ugly loss to Red Sox
Logan Gilbert was obliterated for seven runs over 2 2/3 innings on Monday in a loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: It certainly wasn’t Gilbert’s night at historic Fenway Park as he was lit up for seven runs for the first time since an eight-run implosion against the Twins back on May 9. The 27-year-old right-hander retired the first six batters he faced in this one before everything fell apart in the third inning when he was ultimately charged with seven runs, with all of them coming with two outs in the frame. He finished with four strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. On a positive note, he generated an absurd 14 swinging strikes in the abbreviated outing, which lends to some optimism going forward. He’ll aim for better results on Sunday in a challenging home matchup against the Phillies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:17 pm
    • Goes deep twice in win
Ramirez went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Monday's 8-4 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Ramirez got extra-base hits in his first three at-bats Monday, his first homer traveling 451 feet, which is the longest of his career. Ramirez now has 26 home runs this season and 242 for his career, tied with Albert Belle for second in franchise history behind Jim Thome. It was Ramirez's 25th career multi-HR game, one behind the franchise record shared by Belle and Thome. Ramirez is in the midst of another stellar season hitting .276/.330/.527 with 26 homers, 85 RBI and 20 stolen bases through 103 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:39 pm

    • Luis Gil posts eight strikeouts in win over Phillies
Luis Gil struck out eight and allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings on Monday in a win over the Phillies.

Advice: Gil was staked to an early lead and managed to keep Philadelphia’s formidable offense from getting rolling on a hot and humid evening at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. His velocity was up considerably on both his four-seam fastball and slider in this one as he piled up 14 swinging strikes and finished with a robust 33 percent CSW. The 26-year-old emerging fantasy ace has looked extremely sharp through three starts since a much-needed break during the Midsummer Classic. He’ll carry a sparkling 3.20 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 132/53 K/BB ratio across 112 2/3 innings (21 starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Blue Jays, who are in the midst of a full-scale trade deadline teardown.
