    • Suffers wrist contusion
      Rengifo suffered a left wrist contusion in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Giants, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

      Advice: Rengifo took a line drive single from Matt Chapman off his left arm in the bottom of the fourth inning while playing third base, exiting the contest thereafter. The 27-year-old underwent X-rays, which showed just a contusion and he said that he expects to play Monday against the Brewers. Rengifo can be considered day-to-day for the time being.     • Dealing with rotator cuff injury
      Yamamoto (triceps) was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain Sunday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Yamamoto was lifted from his start Saturday versus the Royals in the third inning with right tricep tightness before being placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. It is now understood to be a rotator cuff injury, which is certainly a more significant diagnosis. Manager Dave Roberts said that the injury is not "season ending" but it's "going to be some time" before the right-hander will be able to return. In regards to his replacement in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Bobby Miller (shoulder) is expected to return to the major-league roster Wednesday.       Luis Rengifo (wrist) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to play on Monday.

      Advice: Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game after being drilled in the wrist by a ball off the bat of Matt Chapman. He did undergo precautionary X-rays that ruled out any fractures though and was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion. While he wants to play on Monday, it’s possible that the Angels give him an extra day off to rest. He won’t be looking at any sort of extended absence though. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Tyler Glasnow shuts down Royals, strikes out nine
      Tyler Glasnow cruised against the Royals on Sunday, striking out nine over seven innings in the Dodgers’ 3-0 shutout.

      Advice: Glasnow walked only one and needed just 85 pitches to get his 21 outs today. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak in which the Dodgers just couldn’t score runs for him. He’s 7-5 with a 3.00 ERA and a 125/25 K/BB in 93 innings for the year. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

      Luis Rengifo was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion after being hit by a batted ball during Sunday’s contest against the Giants.

      Advice: Presumably, he has already undergone imaging that ruled out any fractures, but the announcement from the Angels was simply that he was dealing with a left wrist contusion.       Advice: A hard-hit ball off the bat of Matt Chapman deflected off of Rengifo’s wrist at third base and he immediately went down in pain.       Brice Turang went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and two stolen bases against the Reds on Sunday.

    • Jordan Westburg blasts three-run homer
      Jordan Westburg went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday.

      Advice: One of the stories of the season, Westburg has been a revelation for Baltimore. The homer was his 11th on the season with 42 runs batted in and a .278 average while playing both second and third base. He’s become a very good player very quickly. Rotoworld Today, 1:46 pm
       
    • Zack Wheeler bombarded by Orioles
      Zack Wheeler allowed eight earned runs in 4 1/3 innings on Sunday in a loss to the Orioles. He struck out four and walked two.

      Advice: This was Wheeler’s worst start as a Phillie and the first time he’s allowed eight earned runs since 2018. Baltimore jumped on him with homers in each of the first three innings and then Jordan Westburg put the cherry on top with his three-run blast.
