      Advice: Tovar kicked off the scoring in the first inning with an RBI single to left field. That was just the beginning of a massive performance by the young shortstop -- he added a solo homer in the sixth and a tiebreaking two-run shot in the seventh. The four-hit game was Tovar's second of the campaign, and he finished with his second multi-homer performance of the season. Tovar is somewhat quietly enjoying a breakout 2024, slashing .294/.326/.487 with 10 homers, 28 RBI, 34 runs and four stolen bases through 282 plate appearances.       Advice: One of the doubles was a rare misplay from Alex Verdugo, but it still counts in the scoreboard. The 34-year-old now has doubled 19 times on the season while driving in 40 runs.       Steven Kwan homered and reached four times in an 8-0 win for the Guardians over the Marlins on Saturday.

      Advice: In addition to Kwan’s homer — a two-run shot in the fifth inning — the outfielder also singled and drew a pair of walks.       José Ramírez hit a solo homer to help the Guardians to a win over the Marlins on Saturday.

      Advice: J-Ram is already up to 18 homers on the season, and that puts him well above a 40-homer pace. The switch-hitting infielder has also driven in 61 runs over 63 games, and you don’t have to be a math expert to know that puts him on pace for a rather large number.       Advice: Ramirez has gone 6-for-22 (.273) with two homers and four RBI over six games in June. The third baseman opened the scoring Saturday with a first-inning solo shot off Miami starter Roddery Munoz.
