    Logan O’Hoppe went 3-for-4 against the Orioles on Monday to raise his average to .318.

    Advice: Angels manager Ron Washington actually had O’Hoppe hit cleanup once last week, but the catcher has been listed at sixth, eighth and seventh in the three games since. There’s good reason to think O’Hoppe will remain one of the Angels’ better hitters, but the lineup placement is holding him back, especially given how poorly the rest of the bottom of the order has hit.     Travis d’Arnaud went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the sixth inning to help lead the Braves over the Marlins, 3-0 on Monday.

    Advice: d’Arnaud’s two-run shot was a huge lift for Atlanta who finished the game 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position. The 35-year-old backstop now has five home runs in his past four games, with three of them coming in one game against the Rangers on Saturday. d’Arnaud is putting together a career-best .980 OPS and 14 RBI in his 18 games played this season.     Advice: D'Arnaud knocked a 365-foot home run off Ryan Weathers in the fourth inning to give him his fifth homer in four games. The recent hot stretch is a welcome sight for the veteran catcher as he was previously slashing .200/.250/.311 over 48 plate appearances.
