Jordan Romano gives up three-run homer in loss
Jordan Romano gave up a three-run homer to Matt Vierling with two outs in the ninth to take a loss Sunday against the Tigers.
Advice: Romano came into a tie game in the bottom of the ninth, so one run would have ended this. Romano, though, wanted to make it special. The Jays busted out offensively for one of the few times this year, only to lose 14-11. Romano is still 7-for-8 saving games and isn’t in any danger of losing his job, even if Yimi García has looked far better this season. Of course, García also had his first big misstep today, giving up two runs in the eighth to take a blown save.
