In each game, speedy pinch runner Duke Ellis swiped second base to apply some pressure, but the veteran reliever escaped without allowing any runs both times. Neris isn't missing many bats, as his K/9 is down from 10.1 last season to 7.8 this year, but he's still been effective.       Héctor Neris struck out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the win against the White Sox on Wednesday.

      Advice: Neris took the mound in the ninth inning of a tie game against the White Sox. He struck out the first two batters and worked around a walk to send it to the bottom of the inning before Mike Tauchman walked it off with a home run to give Neris the win. Neris now has eight saves in 10 chances this season to go with a solid 2.86 ERA.
