    • Battling back soreness
Marte was scratched from Arizona's lineup Saturday due to lower-back soreness, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Marte appeared to tweak something in his back during Friday's contest, and he'll sit down Saturday as a precaution. He is available off the bench, however, so his injury likely isn't a major issue. Blaze Alexander will start at second base and bat sixth. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago
    • Scratched from lineup
Marte (undisclosed) was scratched from Arizona's lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus the Padres.

Advice: The Diamondbacks have not yet provided a reason for Marte's removal from the lineup, but they should offer some clarity relatively soon. Blaze Alexander will enter as the replacement second baseman while batting sixth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:27 pm
    • Ketel Marte (back) scratched from D’Backs’ lineup
Ketel Marte (back) was scratched from the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Padres.

Advice: Marte appeared to tweak his back during his final at-bat on Friday night and that seems to be the reason that he was scratched from Saturday’s lineup. The fact that he was in the initial lineup is at least encouraging though, so he should be considered day-to-day until we hear otherwise. Rotoworld Today, 1:27 pm
    • Swipes 33rd bag
De La Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: The 22-year-old also struck out twice, and his 31.7 percent strikeout rate on the season has caught up with him -- De La Cruz is slashing .205/.286/.318 since the beginning of May with only three homers in 34 games. He continues to do damage when he is able to get on base, however, and De La Cruz's 33 steals on the season lead the league by a healthy margin, as the Brewers' Brice Turang sits in second place with 22. • Alex Bregman reaches three times Friday in return
Alex Bregman went 2-for-4 with a walk on Friday in his return to the Astros’ lineup.

Advice: Bregman didn’t skip a beat, reaching base safely in three of his five plate appearances following a brief one-game absence due to left hand soreness. The 30-year-old impending free agent seems like he’ll be good to go moving forward without any lingering concerns. Rotoworld Today, 4:22 am

    • Ketel Marte crushes 13th homer in blowout loss
Ketel Marte walloped a two-run homer on Friday in the Diamondbacks’ one-sided loss at the hands of the Padres.

Advice: Marte broke up a potential shutout with a seventh-inning blast off Padres reliever Wandy Peralta for his 13th big fly of the season. The 30-year-old second baseman has been a model of consistency in an otherwise turbulent campaign for the defending National League champions this season, batting .282 with 41 runs scored, 13 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 63 games. Unfortunately, the stolen bases probably aren’t ever coming back to his early-career level, but he remains a reliable four-category fantasy contributor at the keystone in the prime of his career. • Three hits in comeback win
Witt went 3-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-9 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Witt's triple was his seventh of the year, putting him second in the majors behind Boston's Jarren Duran (nine). It was a timely three-bagger for Witt, as it tied the game in the ninth inning, and he came home with the winning run on a Nelson Velazquez fielder's choice. This was Witt's third three-hit effort in his last six games. He's up to a .323/.375/.568 slash line with 11 home runs, 47 RBI, 56 runs scored and 19 stolen bases over 64 contests this season. • Crushes homer in loss
Marte went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: The second baseman is on a roll to begin June, going 11-for-26 (.423) with three homers and six RBI over his first seven games this month. Marte is up to 13 long balls, 35 RBI, 41 runs scored, one stolen base and a .282/.340/.508 slash line over 63 contests this season. He's topped the 20-homer mark just twice in his first nine major-league seasons, but he's on pace to do it for the second year in a row. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:50 pm
    • Not slowed by brief absence
Bregman went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored Friday against the Angels.

Advice: Bregman returned to the lineup after a one-game absence caused by a hand injury. He extended his hitting streak to nine games in his return Friday, and he's gone 14-for-35 with five homers, eight RBI and 10 runs scored in that span. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
