    • Another multi-hit performance
Witt went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Witt went hitless in his first three at-bats before driving home Garret Hampson with a single in the seventh. The star shortstop would then go on to swipe his 20th bag of the season while also recording another single in the ninth, giving him his fourth multi-hit performance in his last five contests. Witt is now batting .375 in June with two homers, nine RBI, four stolen bases and eight runs scored. He also leads the majors with 59 runs scored. Rotowire.com 44 minutes ago
    • Mashes grand slam
Melendez went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Saturday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Melendez put the Royals on top with a two-out grand slam in the top of the sixth, drawing 12 pitches in the at-bat before jumping on a hanging cutter from Blake Treinen. The 25-year-old also recorded an infield single earlier in the contest, giving him his first multi-hit effort since May 10 against the Angels. Melendez is batting just .152 in June with and Saturday actually marked the first time this month in which he's strung together hits in back-to-back contests. On a positive note, he now has three homers in his last eight games to go along with 10 RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago
    • Steals, scores in loss
De La Cruz went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Milwaukee.

Advice: De La Cruz made his impact in the ninth inning when he walked, stole second base and came home on Jeimer Candelario's double. The theft was De La Cruz's league-leading 35th of the season. His stolen-base attempts have dropped during the month of June. He's attempted four steals in 13 games this month compared to 19 attempts in March/April and 16 in May. Rotowire.com Today, 6:07 am

    • Bobby Witt Jr. steals 20th base of year in victory
Bobby Witt Jr. stole a base while going 2-for-5 in a victory for the Royals over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: Witt Jr. also drove in a run with his single in the seventh, and it gave the Royals a 6-2 cushion. The star shortstop’s theft gives him 20 on the season, and there’s a good chance he’s going to pass the 49 swipes that he picked up in 2023. No one has helped fantasy managers fill categories more than Witt Jr. in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:43 pm
    • MJ Melendez hits grand slam in win over Dodgers
MJ Melendez hit a grand slam to help the Royals to a 7-2 win over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: With the bases full, Melendez took Blake Treinen deep to give the Royals a 5-2 lead. The 25-year-old outfielder has been a significant disappointment in 2024, but he’s at least starting to show some pop with three homers in the month of June; all of them coming in the last eight games. • Sharp in seventh win
Imanaga (7-1) picked up the win in Saturday's 5-1 victory over the Cardinals, allowing one run on four hits over seven innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The 30-year-old rookie delivered his eighth quality start in his first 13 big-league outings on 103 pitches (69 strikes), with the only run against Imanaga coming after a leadoff double by Alec Burleson in the fourth inning. Imanaga will take a 1.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 78:11 K:BB through 76 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Mets. • Serious injury feared
Lange was removed from an appearance at Triple-A Toledo on Friday due to an upper-body injury, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Lange made the Tigers' Opening Day roster and owned a 4.34 ERA in 18.2 innings before being sent to Toledo. He signaled to the dugout immediately after throwing a pitch Saturday and was grabbing at his side. Lange underwent an MRI on Saturday, and while the Tigers have yet to reveal the results of the test, early indications are that Lange sustained a severe injury. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:33 pm

    • Like Mike: Imanaga folds Cards in seven-inning gem
Shota Imanaga struck out six and allowed one run over seven innings on Saturday in a win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Imanaga got his first taste of the storied NL Central rivalry on Saturday afternoon at historic Wrigley Field and delivered another masterpiece, throwing a career-high 103 pitches and limiting St. Louis’ lineup to just four baserunners over seven stellar frames. He induced 14 swinging strikes, with a dozen of them coming on his splitter/sweeper combo, and allowed just seven batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. The 30-year-old Japanese southpaw has been a revelation this season in his Cubs debut, allowing two earned runs or fewer in 12 of his 13 starts so far. He’ll carry a microscopic 1.89 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 78/11 K/BB ratio across 76 innings (13 starts) into a home outing on Friday against the Mets. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:51 pm

    • Placed on paternity list
Heim was placed on the paternity list Saturday.

Advice: Heim will be away from the team for up to three days as he heads to his family for the birth of his third child. In the meantime, fellow catcher Sam Huff was called up from Triple-A Round Rock to replace him on the major-league roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:12 pm
