    • Ryan Helsley nabs league-leading 24th save
Ryan Helsley closed out the Cubs on Sunday. He struck out one, walked two, and stranded both runners on base.

Advice: Helsely got into some trouble in the ninth inning and was bailed out by Brendan Donovan who made a catch crashing into the ivy at Wrigley Field to end the game. Helsley is fully back to being one of the best closers in baseball after an injury-marred 2023 season. Rotoworld Today, 1:06 pm

    • Taking seat Sunday
Hoskins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Advice: He'll get a breather for the day game after he started in the first two games of the series while going 0-for-8 with five strikeouts. Jake Bauers will fill in for Hoskins at first base. Rotowire.com Today, 11:05 am

    • Gerrit Cole could start Wednesday against Orioles
Gerrit Cole (elbow) could make his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles.

Advice: The Yankees announced their rotation for the series against Baltimore. Kind of. Tuesday’s starter will be Nestor Cortes, and Thursday will be Luis Gil. Wednesday has a TBD by it, and it seems possible — if not probable — that it’ll be Cole returning to the rotation. The 2023 Cy Young winner has looked the part in his rehab starts, and while there could be some precautions taken, there’s every reason to believe he’ll be just as fantasy relevant over these three-plus months of 2024. • On bench for matinee
Gelof is not in the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Advice: Gelof will get an extended breather of sorts, having also sat out Saturday, but he will likely be back in there to face Chris Paddack in the nightcap. After breaking out to the tune of an .841 OPS, 14 homers and 14 steals in just 69 games last season, Gelof has struggled to a .558 OPS, five homers and seven steals through 52 games in 2024. • Two doubles, stolen base in win
McMahon went 2-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: McMahon doubled in his third trip to the plate and advanced to third on a sacrifice fly before then stealing home to increase Colorado's lead to five runs. The third baseman would add an RBI double in the eighth, giving him his sixth multi-base hit over his last four games. McMahon has also recorded multiple hits and scored two runs in three of his last four contests. Rotowire.com Today, 8:33 am

    • Sitting Sunday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Murphy will rest for the series finale after he started behind the plate Friday and Saturday while going 2-for-7 with a walk and a run scored. Travis d'Arnaud will garner the start at catcher Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 8:07 am

    • Homers in loss
Soto went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two walks in Saturday's 8-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Soto recently battled a forearm injury, and that may have been bothering him during an eight-game stretch without a homer. He also walked multiple times for the sixth time in 11 contests in June. The outfielder continues to put up superstar numbers with 18 homers, 55 RBI, 58 runs scored, four stolen bases and a .319/.435/.599 slash line over 70 games this season. • Win streak snapped in Boston
Rodon (9-3) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out seven over five innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Red Sox.

Advice: Rodon had posted a quality start in each outing during his seven-game winning streak, but both impressive stretches were snapped Saturday. The Red Sox put up all five runs against Rodon during the first two innings, and the Yankees' offense wasn't able to muster a comeback. The southpaw still has a strong 3.28 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 81:23 K:BB through 85 innings over 15 starts this year. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which is projected to be at home versus Atlanta. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:05 pm

    • Juan Soto blasts 18th homer in loss on Saturday
Juan Soto blasted his 18th home run of the season on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to power the Yankees past the Red Sox in Boston.

Advice: Soto victimized Justin Slaten for his 392-foot (105.1 mph EV) solo shot in the seventh inning that pulled the Bombers to within two runs at 5-3. He also drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the evening 1-for-3 officially. The 25-year-old superstar has been a monster in his first season with the Yankees — slashing .319/.435/.599 with the aforementioned 18 long balls and 55 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm
