    Advice: A strong start for Gausman fell apart in the fifth frame after a catching error by Vladimir Guerrero extended the inning, allowing the Royals to drive in all three of their runs. Although Gausman was tagged with the loss, there were plenty of positives to take away from his outing Tuesday, as it marked his longest start of the season. The 33-year-old righty has also now given up just one earned run in 11.2 innings across his last two appearances, giving him a decent amount of momentum heading into his next start -- tentatively scheduled for Sunday against the Dodgers. As a result, he required 96 pitches to get through 4.1 frames -- his shortest start of the season so far.     Advice: Fedde got behind early after allowing an RBI single to Max Kepler in the first inning, but an Eloy Jimenez three-run homer allowed him to leave the game with a 3-1 lead. However, the 31-year-old was unable to secure his second win of the season thanks to a ninth-inning rally from the Twins. His 11 strikeouts represent a new career high, and the right-hander has emerged as one of the more reliable arms in Chicago's rotation with a 2.73 ERA across his first five starts.     Grayson Rodriguez was pummeled for seven runs and 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings Tuesday in a loss to the Angels.

    Advice: Rodriguez blamed the poor showing on leaving too many pitches down the middle of the plate. He got 14 missed swings and seven strikeouts, but 10 of the 14 balls in play against him were hard hit. It’s his first loss of the year, leaving him 3-1 with a 4.45 ERA.     Logan Webb scattered six hits over eight scoreless innings Tuesday in the Giants’ 5-1 takedown of the Mets.

    Advice: Webb was a groundball machine while allowing four singles and two doubles tonight. He walked one and struck out four.
