    Rutschman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Reds.

    Advice: Rutschman connected against left-hander Andrew Abbott in the fifth inning for his fifth homer of 2024, and it proved to be the winning run. With extra-base hits in each of his last three games, Rutschman is up to a .321/.361/.470 line through 32 games this season.     Sands struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his second save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Red Sox.

    Advice: Jhoan Duran surprisingly worked the eighth and got the hold against the heart of Boston's order, leaving Sands to face the 7-8-9 hitters. With Brock Stewart (shoulder) on the shelf, Sands could be moving up in the bullpen pecking order for the Twins, but Griffin Jax and Caleb Thielbar had also both pitched Friday and were likely only available in an emergency.     Duran gave up a hit and struck out two in a scoreless eighth inning Saturday to record his first hold of the season in a 3-1 win over the Red Sox.

    Advice: The right-hander got the call to face the heart of Boston's order in the eighth rather than being held back for the save chance, and he got the job done without issue. Cole Sands then worked the ninth inning for the save. Duran had only one hold last season along with his 27 saves, and Twins manager Rocco Baldelli typically favors set roles in his bullpen over playing matchups in high-leverage spots, so there's no reason yet to assume this is a sign Duran will see less ninth-inning work than expected.     Advice: Murphy said he felt a pop in his left knee while trying to block a wild pitch in Saturday's loss to the Phillies. It's an injury that forced him from the game and Murphy admitted after the contest that his concern level is high. It was his third big fly of the season and first time he’s left the yard since April 10.     Ben Lively allowed one run over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Angels.

    Advice: Lively got plenty of run support from Cleveland’s lineup and managed to limit Los Angeles’ injury-depleted lineup to just one run on four hits and three walks over six nearly-scoreless frames. He notched five strikeouts despite generating just six swinging strikes and finishing with a lackluster 25 percent CSW. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewers, while posting at least five strikeouts, in four consecutive starts since April 17.   • Paul Blackburn tosses seven strong frames in win
    Paul Blackburn tossed seven innings of one-run ball with three strikeouts in a win over the Marlins on Saturday.

    Advice: Blackburn was excellent against Miami on Saturday, holding them to one run over seven frames. The only run against him was a solo homer by Nick Fortes in the sixth inning. Blackburn scattered three more hits and one walk, striking out three on his way to his third win. The 30-year-old right-hander ends the day with a 3.05 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 31/10 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings. He lines up for a start against the Mariners in Seattle on Friday. A single and a walk put two runners on before Brendan Donovan doubled to score two runs. Fedde walked another batter, then served up a three-run shot to Nolan Arenado. That would be it for Fedde, who ends the day with a 3.46 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 41/14 K/BB ratio across 39 innings. He lines up for a matchup against the Guardians in Chicago on Thursday.
