• Clubs second homer
Martinez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Martinez tied the game at 1-1 in the fifth inning with his second homer in the last five games. The 22-year-old prospect has filled a versatile role, but most of his playing time has been in center field, which has led to a smaller role for Tyler Freeman. Martinez is batting .256 with two homers, four RBI, six runs scored, three doubles and no stolen bases over 12 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:27 pm

The second baseman is batting .297 (11-for-37) with three steals over 10 games in July as he continues to provide well-rounded offense in the top-third of the order. Overall, Marte has 18 home runs, six steals, 53 RBI, 63 runs scored and a .288/.359/.506 slash line across 404 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:46 pm

  • Promotion pending
The Twins are expected to call up Castillo from Triple-A St. Paul, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: Minnesota is currently dealing with several injuries in the infield and Castillo is expected to take the 26-man roster spot of the IL-bound Jose Miranda (back). Castillo has just one big-league at-bat in his career and is slashing .269/.375/.399 with five homers and seven stolen bases across 283 games with St. Paul. The 26-year-old should see plenty of work at third base and could mix in at second base or shortstop if needed. The Twins will need to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for Castillo. • Luis Arraez has three hits, RBI in win over Braves
Luis Arraez went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in a run on Saturday, helping to lead the Padres to a victory over the Braves.

Advice: Arraez smacked a two-out RBI double into right field off of Reynaldo López in the fifth inning that plated Tyler Wade with the Padres’ second run of the ballgame. He’s never going to be a major asset from a fantasy perspective in the power or speed departments, but Arraez is having another strong season at the dish — slashing .310/.342/.378 with two homers, 24 RBI and three swipes on the season. • Produces off bench
Garcia went 2-for-2 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Saturday's 6-5 win against the Brewers.

Advice: Garcia was absent from Saturday's starting nine after starting the previous eight games, but he replaced Trey Lipscomb as a pinch hitter in the seventh and cut Washington's deficit in half with a solo homer. It's the 24-year-old's 11th long ball of the campaign, four of which have come in July. Through 12 games this month he's hitting .415 with seven extra-base hits, nine runs and nine RBI. • McNeil has stolen base, two-run double Saturday
Jeff McNeil went 1-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and two RBI against the Rockies on Saturday.

  • Marcus Semien hits leadoff homer versus Astros
Marcus Semien hit a leadoff homer in a victory over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Semien took Spencer Arrighetti deep to begin the contest to give Texas a 1-0 lead and and Semien his 18th homer of the season. The roundtrippers have been helpful, but his .241/.309/.393 slash isn’t what fantasy managers signed up for when they selected Semien early. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:10 pm
  • Gimenez has two-hit game in win over Rays
Andres Gimenez went 2-for-4 with an RBI against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Gimenez is 12-for-41 (.292) with seven RBI in 12 games in July. He had an RBI single to score David Fry in the fifth inning. Gimenez is hitting .251 with a .643 OPS and 45 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:02 pm
  • Gleyber Torres smacks three hits in victory
Gleyber Torres went 3-for-4 with an RBI against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Torres singled twice and doubled. The 27-year-old infielder got the scoring started with an RBI single in the first, and he came around to score on Austin Wells’ three-run homer later in the inning. Even with the three knocks, Torres has disappointed in 2024 with a slash of just .230/.307/.347. It’s reasonable to expect him to be a more consistent contributor after the All-Star break.
