    • Activated and in Tuesday's lineup
The Phillies activated Harper (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Harper required just a minimum 10-day stay on the IL with a strained left hamstring. He is back in his customary third spot in the Phillies' lineup and playing first base for Tuesday's series opener against the Dodgers. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Phillies activate Harper, Schwarber off 10-day IL
Phillies reinstated INF Bryce Harper off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: In addition to the Phillies getting Harper back, they’re also activating Kyle Schwarber off the injured list. Harper ended up missing just a little under to weeks with his hamstring issue, and the 31-year-old superstar will return to a middle-of-the-order lineup spot for one of the best teams in baseball. Great news for everyone that doesn’t have to face the Phillies or Harper in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 11:59 am

    • Disappoints again Monday
Sewald blew a save against Atlanta on Monday, allowing two runs on two hits while striking out one batter over one inning.

Advice: Sewald entered in the top of the ninth with Arizona holding a two-run lead and retired the first two batters he faced. However, he couldn't seal the deal, giving up a single followed by a game-tying two-run homer off the bat of Sean Murphy. The blown save was Sewald's third straight, and he's allowed seven runs on seven hits while serving up three homers over 1.2 innings during that span. Sewald had completed 17 straight scoreless appearances prior to the downturn, and manager Torey Lovullo confirmed after the contest that the veteran reliever will remain the team's closer for the time being, per Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic. • Paul Sewald allows homer, blows third straight opp
Paul Sewald took a third straight blown save after giving up a two-run homer in the ninth Monday against the Braves.

Advice: Sewald had a 0.53 ERA until this miserable week resulted in his first three blown saves of the year, so he won’t lose his job just yet. Still, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to stash Kevin Ginkel if possible. That’s especially the case since these three losses that Sewald has contributed to make it more likely that the free agent-to-be will be traded before the deadline. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:22 pm
    • Doubles, steals two bases
De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, an RBI, two stolen bases and a walk in Monday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: De La Cruz walked and stole second in the first inning but was also caught trying to swipe home. He last singled and scored in the fourth before knocking an RBI double during the Reds' four-run eighth inning. The star shortstop broke out of a small five-game slump that saw him go 2-for-17 entering Monday's contest. De La Cruz is now slashing .251/.344/.469 with 38 extra-base hits and 45 steals through 91 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:03 pm

    • De La Cruz fills up the box score against Rockies
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: De La Cruz is now up to 45 steals on the season. He’s been one of the most electric players in fantasy baseball this year. De La Cruz is hitting .251 with an .813 OPS and 40 RBI on the season.

    • Bryce Harper “possibly” back on Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said “possibly” when asked if Bryce Harper (hamstring) will return on Tuesday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Bryce Harper was able to run the bases at “close to 100 percent” on Saturday and that was “the final step in his recovery.” The Phillies now just need to determine if “close to 100 percent” is enough to activate their star. Obviously, the series against the Dodgers is a big one, but the Phillies have a commanding lead in the NL East and a series with Oakland following this one against Los Angeles. With the All-Star break looming, the team could just decide to ensure Harper is fully healthy for the second part of the season. We likely won’t know for sure until Tuesday, which makes it tough for some fantasy managers in weekly lineup lock leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:33 am

    • Tanner Houck changed weekly routine this season
According to The Athletic’s Jen McCaffrey, Tanner Houck made a few changes to his weekly routine that have helped lead to his breakout season.

Advice: Houck was recently named to the All-Star team after posting a 2.68 ERA in the first half of the season. While some of that success can obviously be attributed to improved command and a better attack plan against lefties, Houck also mentioned two changes that he and pitching coach Andrew Bailey made this offseason. Houck moved his lifting day up but also moved his mid-week bullpen session up a day, according to Bailey, “Just gives them an extra 24 hours to recover, to maximize that recovery process, to really take inventory on the body and where it’s at...Being as far away removed from the highest workload event (pitching-wise) is probably the safest bet. And then that way, we can take an honest look at what can we get done today that sets us up for a competition.” Houck also mentioned that those bullpens now feature fewer pitches since his mechanics feel a lot better this year and he’s now just focused on refining during those sessions. All of those changes seem to have worked for the 28-year-old, who is emerging as a legit front-of-the-rotation arm in Boston. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:00 am

    • Nightengale: Phillies are interested in Rooker
According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, the Phillies “are keeping a close eye on Oakland A’s left fielder Brent Rooker.”

Advice: The Phillies have not gotten much from their left field spot in 2024, which Brandon Marsh has regularly occupied. On the year, the Phillies rank 26th in OPS among left fielders this season, which Rooker would likely improve. He would also add another big power bat with some swing-and-miss in his game but could make the Phillies lineup even deeper for a playoff run. It would obviously be a big boost to his fantasy value if he were traded to Philadelphia. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:53 am
