    • Big Ben Rortvedt has four RBI in win
Ben Rortvedt went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in an 11-3 win over the Mariners on Tuesday.

Advice: Rortvedt’s home run came in a one-run game in the sixth inning and broke the game open for the Rays. It traveled 392 feet at 103.7 mph and was the catcher’s third home run of the season. Rortvedt is slashing a solid .274/.369/.390 on the season and is now 15-for-45 (.333) in June with three home runs and 14 RBI in 14 games. He plays four or five games a week for the Rays and is slowly pushing his way onto the radar in one-catcher leagues and needs to be rostered in all two-catcher formats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:42 pm
    • Henry Davis (concussion) starting rehab assignment
Henry Davis (concussion) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Wednesday with Double-A Altoona.

Advice: Davis landed on the concussion injured list back on June 15 and is apparently feeling well enough to get back into game action. The 24-year-old former top prospect will probably only need a handful of rehab contests to get back up to speed before returning to Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:46 pm

    • Gary Sánchez scratched Tuesday with calf tightness
Gary Sánchez was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left calf tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary move by the Brewers as it’ll be William Contreras handling the catching duties instead on Tuesday night. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:15 pm

    • Catching bullpen session
Moreno (thumb) will catch Zac Gallen's (hamstring) bullpen session Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: A sprained left thumb forced Moreno onto the injured list Saturday, and Wednesday's bullpen session will allow him to get a feel for how his thumb feels in his glove after a few days of recovery. Assuming all goes well, there is a strong possibility that the 24-year-old backstop will be able to return from the injured list when eligible next Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:00 pm

    • Out of Tuesday's lineup
Soderstrom is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Angels.

Advice: Soderstrom will head to the bench for the first time since June 5, and he posted a .279/.353/.557 slash line with five homers and 12 RBI during that 18-game stretch. Tyler Nevin is starting at first base against lefty Tyler Anderson on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:57 pm
    • Beginning assignment Wednesday
Davis (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Wednesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Davis has been on the 7-day concussion IL since June 15, and Wednesday will be the first time he's played in any sort of game since then. The Pirates haven't indicated how long the 24-year-old's assignment might last, though it's possible he remains in the minors upon being activated after slashing just .153/.267/.235 across 101 major-league plate appearances this season. The Cubs released Gomes on Friday.

Advice: The veteran backstop was designated for assignment Wednesday and was let go by the Cubs just two days later. • Scratched with calf tightness
Sanchez was scratched from the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers due to left calf tightness, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: The veteran slugger was penciled in as Milwaukee's designated hitter, but he'll instead hit the bench due to the injury. Sanchez should be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale versus Texas, which is followed by a team day off Thursday. Rhys Hoskins will now serve as the DH on Tuesday while Jake Bauers starts at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:31 pm

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: After catching back-to-back games, Murphy will yield to Travis d'Arnaud behind the plate Tuesday. Murphy owns a .618 OPS with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate across 73 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:37 pm
